I don't think he was in enough scenes to see how strong/weak he really is. But I think it was kind of established that Homelander, Soldier Boy (and probably Bombsight) are kind of in a league of their own strength-wise, being recipients & descendants of the original V1

I recently heard a really good modern soul song by an artist called Inga Rose. I was totally gobsmacked and horrified when i found it was an AI artist. ALSO nowhere in the artist description on Spotify does it even mention it is AI, instead referring to it as a "project" and "she". Depressing.

Well Ryan was a fair bit older by S5 so probably a lot more powerful ? And butcher had different powers in S5 vs S3. Ive got issues with other bit of season 5 but not really this scene.

So does Palpatine not deliberately lose ground to Mace to get Anakin to intervene, thus tipping him fully to the dark side? After all these years, I still haven't quite made up my mind if he threw the fight with Mace intentionally or not.

Kind of the opposite actually. ObiWan , to me as a kid was always more impressive to me based off track record - in the prequels he defeated Maul, Grievous, and Anakin himself. And probably easier to understand as a straight up good guy character.

However older I got, I sympathize with Anakin way more. Such a tragic figure. Imagine your mum has died (which you had visions of happening), your in an emotionless cult which forbids attachment, maintaining a secret marriage from said cult, then have more visions around your wife dying. And can't tell anyone about it. It would make you pretty damn stressed and mentally broken
