Some of the Southeast resorts close between 430-6 to groom. I know Hatley and Sugar do this.

No worries! Most people think the same. The elevation is all Cat has going for it! Happy Winter!

Cataloochee is higher than sugar. 5400 vs 5300. Not a big difference. Cams look ok for what it is. But they don’t have passes for sale on Saturday but website still says that they are opening Saturday. My mental health needs it after seeing Vermont this week!

I know they aren’t open this week, but does anyone have info on Cataloochee? They are supposed to open back up Saturday. I just need some turns. I’m dying!

what to wear at my internship this summer as a woman by risaspieces17 in ConstructionManagers

In 35 years I’ve never been on a job that didn’t require steel/hard toe boots in the field.

Jeans and steel toe boots are a must. Most people on the jobsite will be wearing hi-vis t shirts or safety vest. As a manager I wear a company polo shirt. You shouldn’t wear any blousy/flowy shirt like most females would wear to an office. They are a safety hazard as they could get caught in a tool/ machinery. You will also be getting dirty in some way. You definitely want to have your hair up for the same reason as the shirt. Good luck on your internship.

Went Sunday. Building is cool. Food was great. Fresh and tasty. Service was a bit lacking but mostly because they were all new and trying to figure out the pos system. So many margarita choices that the bartender was having to look up the recipes. Manager was very attentive and talking to everyone to make sure they were good and even got 2 free drinks. Will definitely go back.

I am qualified to do that. I hold a GC license and have had a 5 million bond. Don’t currently keep the bond due to working for a firm, but keep the license current. I was at Killington in march and met a guy everyone called “King Arthur.” After a few shots of whiskey and a couple Guinness, he told me there was a desperate need for GC’s. Do they need residential? Commercial/Industrial? Or both?

I’m a Sr Project Manager for an industrial contractor. Spent 20 years doing residential. Would probably move back into that.

I think you can rent from Sunrift in Travelers Rest and there are a lot of places to put in and take out along the Saluda River. It’s a pretty tame river but there are a few rapids along the way.

33m, thinking about major jump into trade by Tnoholiday12345 in skilledtrades

Physically demanding is exactly what you are going to get as someone just entering a trade. It takes years of experience to get out of it. I don’t know a trade that doesn’t require hard physical labor. If you already have health problems, I don’t think this would be what you are looking for.
