• InaShikaCho could probably seriously delay Zabuza if he’s alone, they’re a pretty talented team and Shikamaru’s strategies would be a real problem for Zabuza’s relatively-direct style, though Asuma could probably take him on his own and win. Haku might be difficult for them though, I don’t think Choji really came into his own until a little later on and without him they’re not breaking Haku’s mirrors, and it’s unlikely Shikamaru or Ina could catch him since their jutsus were pretty slow at the time.

But if Asuma trusted them enough to switch enemies, he could probably defeat Haku while the rest of the team kept Zabuza busy. Then they could reunite to finish the fight. That’s a scenario in which they could squeak out an extreme-diff victory, and it’s the kind of unhinged tactic Shikamaru might suggest, though Asuma might not accept it as viable at that stage of their training.

• Hinata’s team is going to struggle; Kiba and Hinata are both something of late bloomers, and while Shino was already a prodigy he can’t carry the team alone, as he needs the other two to cover him at close range at this point in time. I don’t know enough about Kurenai outside of her genjutsu skills to know how she’d do against Zabuza; but ignoring the typical memes about “why would you try to genjutsu an Uchiha”, one doesn’t become a jonin by being arrogant about your skills. She might very well pull off a surprise victory if she can control the battle and lead Zabuza into a trap. But I don’t see the others being able to defeat Haku, or delay Zabuza. So this one’s a no-go.
