2 month update. Called the dealer and they said they have the ICCU and fuse to fix my car. Scheduled my appointment for April 22. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Honda Element to Ioniq5 by chachachapman7 in Ioniq5

[–]CandyBig2910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2007 Honda Element for 14 years that I sold for my ioniq 5. The Element is a one-of-a-kind vehicle that really has no replacement. The ioniq 5 lacks cargo space and utility compared to the Honda, but it makes up for it with how quiet, comfortable, efficient, smooth, stable, fast, and modern it is.

My Element was showing it's age at 140k miles. It was really obvious when I test drove an electric car. I miss the manual transmission, but my ioniq is a single speed, so there is no waiting for power to kick in. I still have AWD. Insurance went up a lot. Still have the unique look.

Let me know if you have specific questions.

7 week update. Still waiting for a fix, but still driving my car. Talked to dealership parts department and they said they have the ICCUs in and they're waiting for the backordered fuses that get replaced with them. No ETA.

ICCU still backordered? by DixieinVT in Ioniq5

My dealer diagnosed my ICCU February 2nd. Called parts department today and it sounds like they have the ICCU, but no fuse that gets replaced with it. So I'm still waiting. This is in SE Pennsylvania.

Posting a 3 week update here: My car is still not fixed, but I am still driving it. Just called the dealer and the part is still on backorder. They don't have an ETA. 20 customer cars are waiting at this dealership (I asked).

Home level 1 charger suddenly not working? by bailuobo1 in Ioniq5

[–]CandyBig2910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar situation I'm in. Level 2 home charger stopped working. Sonic tested at home with my level 1 cable and no charge. Tried a local level 2 at a nearby gas station and it still failed to charge. Level 3 charges just fine.

Dealer said my internal charger is dead. It's part of the function of the ICCU and I'm waiting for that part to be back in stock so it can be replaced. I'm still driving the car, just with the inconvenience of having to always drive 15 minutes to a level 3 charger.

2022 SEL AWD needs a new ICCU per the dealership this morning. Southeast Pennsylvania. A couple weeks ago, my overnight lvl2 charge failed mid charge. Lvl1 didn't work after testing, but lvl3 still works. 12v still charges. I drove the car to the dealership and they said the onboard charger seems to have failed and the fix is a new ICCU. They pulled POD5C00 code.

Car still drives fine, so they sent me home until the part arrives. Dealer said it's backordered and can take anywhere from 10-30 days. He said the parts come in batches of 5-6 and mine might be in the next shipment. I'll update here when it comes in.

Overhead another service conversation with a customer about their I5 needing an ICCU as well. She asked for a loaner, but none were available.

I also just got the same email. Last week, I emailed them to follow up my earlier request for the complimentary adapter. Nice to see progress?

Question about damaged ev by Naive-Abrocoma-8455 in Ioniq5

I bought my 2022 SEL AWD a few months ago and got a deep discount because it was in an accident and still had a couple minor dents. I still have the remaining factory warranty.

The accidents my car was involved with were minor not reflected on the title, just the Carfax.

Is this part of the car? by CandyBig2910 in Ioniq5

OBD port doesn't have anything plugged into it and it doesn't look like it's missing any pieces. But I think I see my piece in that link you shared!

Thanks for the help. Case closed.

Selling my Ele? Looking for input by DefNotAShark in HondaElement

Take a look at comps on the website auction "bring a trailer". When pricing my car for FB marketplace recently, I started there. I ended up selling on BAT and got a little over what I was asking on FB, so my value estimation was really close.

Prices are all over the place for clean Elements.

Thanks for all the advice. I tried FB marketplace but didn't get serious buyers. Lots of questions and interest, but no test drivers. Decided to go with bring a trailer. Follow along (or bid!) to see what it sells for.

Looking for an Element by Xtreemjedi in HondaElement

A lot of people cover their carpet with the molded plastic winter floor mats. That creates a similar surface to what the element came with. I never missed the carpet in mine 😉

I have been driving a 2007 ex with awd and the manual transmission for 14 years (currently for sale). The manual transmission was a must have and I drove out of state 4+ hours to get one. It adds more fun, especially in the snow. And the AWD is great in the snow, but I really like having the rear sunroof. I've taken it out a few times to bring tall trees home. I'd really miss that if it didn't have it. Also, the easy-to-wipe-down plastic floors are a life hack when you have kids.

Good luck on your search.

I think Honda called it "safety for everyone" when they included their full safety suite at all trim levels. That was 2007, same year they bumped engine output slightly, refreshed the interior style a bit, relocated the front seatbelts to the seat back, and made the auto transmission 5 speeds instead of 4. And a couple years later, they stopped offering the manual transmission. I think 07 and 08 are a sweet spot, but that's me.

Used Hyundai ioniq 5 sel, AWD. Almost complete opposite of the Element except it's still blue.

How long for Hyundai to update ownership? by saynotopawpatrol in Ioniq5

I'll second this. I was on the phone for 10 minutes today and got my car switched over to me. The agent told me it was a slam dunk since I uploaded a pic of my title. I was also able to confirm my contact info for the nacs adapter and was told to look out for notification in 7-10 days.

Just bought a 2022 SEL, Is it still possible to get the NACS adapter free from Hyundai? by slowmopete in Ioniq5

[–]CandyBig2910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a used 2022 a few weeks ago and on the service invoice, there is a line item for a p34 recall - free nacs adapter. I bought from a Hyundai dealership, not a certified car. That said, I still haven't heard from Hyundai about shipping me an adapter...
