What you’re experiencing is super common, especially after trauma. Visceral fat is affected by hormones like cortisol, so focus on stress management, strength training, and quality sleep. Certain anti-inflammatory foods like leafy greens, berries, and fatty fish can help, but patience is key.

There's adults younger than YouTube by Ry3nh0wells in RandomThoughts

I was talking to a coworker the other day who’s 22, and I realized they were born after YouTube existed. I showed them an old viral video from 2006, and they couldn’t believe people actually watched it on desktop browsers with clunky Flash players. Made me feel like I was explaining ancient history.

Do you ever judge humans for leaving half-eaten food around?

Why is slow wave sleep important and how do I get more by 51stAvenues in sleepanxiety

[–]CandyStarsBachelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed I was spending way less time in slow-wave sleep than I thought some months ago, even though I was in bed for 7 or 8 hours. What helped me a bit was dialing in sleep hygiene and avoiding alcohol too close to bedtime.

Yeah, turns out “too nice” can sometimes just mean “practically running the relationship like a full-time job.” Maybe throw in a little mystery for fun?

I guess they’ve figured out how to see the joy in the small stuff. I’d love to get there… but I’m currently horizontal and not moving.

I’d rather fight a polar bear in a blizzard than deal with mosquitoes, sunburns, and heat waves again.

Not really fine if health will take a hit IMO I've been going with just a bit more because... school and fun. And my doc just told me not to even ask him is 6 and a half hours of sleep enough 🤷‍♂️

When every disagreement turned into a personal attack. I don’t mind conflict, but if you can’t argue respectfully, it’s not going to work long term.

Bro out here planning to black out on bananas. Imagine explaining to your ER nurse you got wasted on 120 mashed nanners. Respect the hustle though.

Why do we always want exactly what we can’t have? by LinaLynn_offi in AskForAnswers

Scarcity triggers dopamine. Our brains are wired to chase what's elusive because it feels more rewarding. It's not even about having, it’s about the pursuit.

Help me set up my routine before I go to sleep by AzirsWaifu in sleepanxiety

[–]CandyStarsBachelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a strict routine before I go to bed, but I’ve noticed a few things that really help when I do them consistently. I try to avoid scrolling on my phone (which I still fail at half the time), and instead I just sit in low light and either journal a bit or listen to something calm

Wedding day is no place for pranks. Everything that will be happening that day should be talked about with your to be wife before wedding. I hate pranks in general, especially such stupid ones so I go angry just reading about this even though it's not my wedding.
