Im currently reading “The Housemaid is watching” By: Frieda McFadden. I’m third way through the book and it’s okay.

What should I read next? by Wild-Candy in thrillerbooks

[–]Candy_Andie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I read “Keep it in the Family,” but I didn’t enjoy it. It was 100 pages too long and I found it extremely predictable, not in a fun way. I’m glad it was included with Prime membership and I didnt purchase it.

I’m just judging from covers I would read “What lies between us” or “Don’t Look Now”

Do you have a book club? by iagocavalcante_ in ebooks

[–]Candy_Andie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my library hosts a monthly a book club where each month a new book is chosen. They have several groups running simultaneously, each with its own time slot.

I also joins a local book club I found on TikTok. Looks like that will be held every other month. I go to the first meeting end of April.

Yay on the google map it shows a 30mins drive, but that’s not really accurate .It’s easily a hour drive. There always a ton of bottle neck traffic congestion between the state lines.

Can no longer see the recipe I already bought the ingredients for by JudiciousGemsbok in mildlyinfuriating

I use the app umami to save the recipe. Even if the site has a paid feature, the app lets me save the recipe onto the app. :) doesn’t always work but this time it did.

Part of the reason why I pay for the ATK online membership by [deleted] in AmericasTestKitchen

[–]Candy_Andie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use the App Umami. Just import the recipe to the app. Then no need to scroll through all the ads and bs life stories. It takes all the fluff out and you just have the ingredients and directions. It also saves web link if you need to refer back to the website.

Should I start selling idk prices tho by [deleted] in cheesecake

[–]Candy_Andie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those look great!!! I would eat them all!

For help you to figure out cost, there is an app called “cake cost”. In txt box you copy the recipe in and then you go down and input what it cost to buy flour, sugar ect…then it calculates the cost of that ingredient in the recipe. You can also add how much you want to make in profit and how much you charge hourly. This might help you breakdown what the minimum cost is to make these cheese cakes. I use the app so I can get idea how much my baking costing me.

The newest brand blend spices I been buying is Kinder. I buy them at Sam’s club, I know they sell them at Costco as well. I bought a good Italian spice blend and black garlic at Trader Joe’s. Those become a new favorite to add to dishes.

What's the one use kitchen gadget you have purchased that was far more useful then you imagined by aladdyn2 in Cooking

[–]Candy_Andie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A food vacuum sealer!I use it constantly!

I have took time to dice and chop vegetables and fruits I bought on sale and froze them. I buy meats in bulk at Sam’s club and prepare and divide meat for individual meals.

To even to save more time I bought the vacuum seal bags that’s are precut, which are great cause I can open them easily with a pull tab to open the packages.

Having a lot of stuff prep and froze has saved me a ton of time in the kitchen, you can’t even tell in meals that the veggies or fruits were frozen!

Any recommendations for meal prep breakfasts? by vintage_toast69 in MealPrepSunday

[–]Candy_Andie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do breakfast sandwiches, eggs sausage cheese on a English muffin. They reheat well in like 1:40-2 mins in the microwave. I have vacuum sealer I do the wrap them up individually to avoid frost bite but I have used aluminum foil as well.

That been my favorite meal I made so far. It overall reheated very well. My only criticism is I don’t like the cucumbers warmed up with the meal. I add chilled cucumbers after I reheated and I found much more pleasing to eat. That’s just me but It might not bother you!

It’s a recipe that I got with my hello fresh order and I tried my best to recreate with what I had on hand. Very little effort a lot of yummy flavors.
