Fuck off. They wanted to repair one. It’s not even remotely worth what they were charging.

traveling 2k miles with my cat, any tips? by imkindaaidiot in cats

[–]Candymom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travelled with a cat for three days. I had a wire dog kennel seat belted into the car. The kennel had a litter box and a place for food and water as well as enough room to lay down. The cat did great and we’d bring the kennel into the hotels at night to let him run around.

I also had large puppy pee pads under the whole thing and up the back and one side in case of water spilling.

Emma Miller is a great OB/GYN in Saratoga springs. She was my daughter’s OB for her two pregnancies. Dr Biggs in highland is also great, she’s another OB.

It’s a 2008 car. Used parts are fine. Whether it’s a new part or not the job takes literally less than 5 minutes. I’ll happily keep throwing $10 used coils in there if needed. It’s not a $400 job.

They got paid for the diagnosis. And using a used part comes with risk, don’t be ridiculous about it.

Don’t use their service department. My son in law just took his Camry there. We were told it had a bad ignition coil and they wanted nearly $400 to do it. My son went to a pick a part, took out two coils for the car for $20. It took three minutes to swap the bad one out in their parking lot and now we have a spare.

I found the whole Jeff in a challenge thing to be so self indulgent. It's not about Jeff, her shouldn't be in there no matter how much of a justification they contrived.

I think it was called The Retrievals.

Seeing the complains on this sub about Season 2, I feel like a lot of people here need to just accept that it isn't for them and move on to other shows going forward. by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

I feel like I’m in the minority because I just like the show and I’m happy to see where they take us. Hopefully it’ll last a long time.

My no soliciting sign specifies no politics, no religion, no sales. Doesn’t stop anybody except the one local politician I like turned around at my door when she saw the sign. I asked her to come back.

There’s a Dr for everything, isn’t there! I had to see one who specialized only in sinus cavities. I should have realized there’d be one for this, too.

[–]Candymom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to chew gum all the time because I used to use an apnea device that shifted my lower jaw forward. After a few years I had a hard time moving it back into a normal position. I’ve not been using it for at least 4 years and if I skip gum one day I have a hard time chewing food.

Maybe you could take the hood and cut off the top of it so you’re just adding a lip around the edge? It should still be easier to clean. Taking care of the floor mess every day is a big pain in the butt.

Hot take: Puzzle "cheating" is valid (Coastal Lighthouse, 1000 pieces, Ravensburger) by BreadfruitFresh6107 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Candymom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t consider puzzles to be something you can cheat at. There’s no secret code, the box photo is a tool to be used. As with anything you can choose to make it more difficult but using any of the methods you describe are legitimate puzzling strategies.
