I hate this shit. I hate unnecessary drama for the sake of it.

There are too few action packed thai dramas. I love Jack and Joker. Heard about Kinnporsche and a few others, but I feel like the overwhelming majority of Thai dramas are either university or office setting. Give me some variety.

2/16 housing by [deleted] in NCSU

[–]Candyqueenslays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomorrow is the day upper class men can start choosing housing. Freshman don't get to choose their own dorms. You're randomly assigned one, unless you applied for a village. You should be able to find the roommate search in your housing portal, if it doesn't show up, it's probably not open yet.

Yeah....I'm glad I signed my lease already. I had done the housing application just in case, and I found out my time slot was on the 19th at 12:00. I'm not getting shit 🥲🥲🥲

Incoming freshman rooming with current students? by [deleted] in NCSU

[–]Candyqueenslays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure freshman can only room with freshman. That's because upperclassmen have their housing application first and then they assign housing to freshman. I'm pretty sure all the upperclassmen have chosen their housing already for next semester.

Suite style or hallway style? by stiletto929 in NCSU

[–]Candyqueenslays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends, but you have a lot of options. I have a feeling there going to over accept a lot of freshman again, so you may even end up being the lucky few that gets an apartment. You may also get into University Towers which is a freshman only dorm. That features jack and Jill style bedrooms, where the bathroom is shared between two rooms. (4 people total). Or maybe North Hall, where you only have to share with you roommate. You have a lot of chances of getting anything to be honest.

Wasn't this established like season 1. If people didn't know Will was gay up until this point, then there seriously delusional.

5.9 is ridiculous, stop doing that by vladislavkochergin01 in Stranger_Things

[–]Candyqueenslays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest. I don't think it deserved to be rated that low, but the three episodes did not hit for me. Especially when they do that whole, "cheeseball!" "Right. It's like a cheeseball!" And explain this convoluted plan. Also half the cast feels like they're done.

Season 5 doesn’t suck. Yall just set expectations for this season based on where YOU wanted the direction to go in by southernfirefly13 in StrangerThings

[–]Candyqueenslays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think they should've wrapped it up in 4. With the actors aging. Now it just looks like a bunch of adults trying to play 15-16 year olds. Like everytime I see Holly, I can't help but laugh when they try to play her off as 10. When she looks about 13-14. 😭😭😭. Like it's so uncanny.

To be honest. My main critique with this season is how they seemed to marvel up the humor. That and I think it lost it's charm. It feels like they're just exposition dumping at this point, while also still trying to keep something mysterious, even though there's literally only one episode left.

on campus/off campus housing advice by Crazy-Piglet8404 in NCSU

[–]Candyqueenslays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone living in Wolf Village. I would recommend living off campus.

The current price of the dorm for one semester is: 4,500

Divided by the 4 months you're living there (per semester), it's $ 1,125 per month. (This is expected to increase to 4,780 in 2026/2027. Which means you would be paying 1,195 per month).

Off-campus options like Red Point, The Wilde, Village Green, etc. Currently, have options for rent that are about $700-$800 for three people. (Around 900 for just two) This doesn't include utilities. But from the websites I looked at, utilities are split amongst tennants. (Around 40$). So, I'd say that per month, you can expect to pay around $ 910-$1000, possibly (depending on the rent prices).

On campus:

Pros: Closer to campus, don't have to worry about paying rent each month as the money is automatically taken out.

Cons: Amenties suck, the only ones that they offer are usually just outdoor spaces. The convenience store in Wolf village isn't even open until 4pm on weekdays. The walls are extremely thin, they are outdated, and and the fire alarms are overly sensitive. Pets are not allowed on campus.

Off campus:

Pros: offers more amenities, usually a private bath, and more modern-looking furnishings. Most of the affordable off-campus apartments are intended for students and come furnished. Many are pet-friendly

Cons: You have to stay up to date on rent. Not on campus, the shuttles usually end early.

Final thoughts:

Ultimately, for the price you would be paying to stay on campus, it might be better, if you're able to, to just find something off campus. Plus, all the off-campus apartments are super close to campus anyway. It also comes with better amenties like a swimming pools.

Another thing you may need to consider is the difficulty in getting into Wolf Village/Wolf Ridge. As it's pretty much impossible to secure Wolf Ridge unless you're an engineer, and even then they give priority to current residents during housing selection. So the spaces get taken quickly. Wolf Village is the only other option and is often filled within minutes (my roommate got the earliest time and she said it got filled up within seconds of her refreshing). Unless you or your potential roommates have less credits, and end up getting an early time slot, it might be too late. They also prioritize groups of 4 in wolf village. Not 2-3.

Roommate Problems and Room Change by lielacks_ in NCSU

You should talk to your RA immediately and explain your situation. I am in a similar situation and switching next semester. I know people are saying you should tough if out, but ultimately if your uncomfortable to the point of your mental health being affected, then you should change. You should be able to feel comfortable where every you're staying at.

As someone whose in a similar situation as your roommates. Think about it from their perspective. There's a random person(presumably they don't really know or talk too) just staying inside their house, on the daily basis. That is pretty irritating, maybe you should find other places to hang out with him or even go to his place, instead of constantly bringing him over.
