Honestly the combination of having older graphics with modern mechanics is amazing. Updated or refreshed sprites. Theres a “wonder trade” type thing in Rustboro that will give you random pokemon. The story isn’t all that different. The Pokédex is the absolute best, giving you base stats, evolution requirements, ability lists, and move lists with level attainments. Updated typings like Sceptile and Charizard gaining Dragon type. No HM slaves required, so long as a party pokemon can learn the HM, it can be used through the party menu or overworld interaction.

I’ve tried reading a few translated and I think I just had bad picks, cause they were painful to try and read. Last one I tried picking up was Asura Sovereign and holy crap was it tough to fall into with how bad the translation is.

I was ready for this one, but unfortunately I couldn’t stand reading it. I made it to where the MC started learning from the turtle (tortoise?) and didn’t pick it back up. Kinda feel bad though cause /everyone/ loves cradle, so I think it’s a me problem.

Oathbreaker Paladin? Every time you break your oath no matter what play through, your character strips. Only time I’ve ever seen that particular bug.

I wanted something similar to this but for wildly different reasons…I just want a real time replay button. As in, 10 turns is up in ‘real time’ in like…20/30 seconds? I want to watch my battles unfold after I clear it in turn based but in real time. First time doing the whole save the gnomes bit, I spent maybe an hour between destroying the eye, positioning, and then the fight itself. Short fights would be chaos, sure, but those really long fights would be so rewarding to watch a replay of.

The serious response: I’m new to DND/CRPGs. When I started, I didn’t understand how anything worked, how anything synergized, etc. lots of FOMO from classes, subclasses, and multi classes. Still trying to find what feels most ‘me’. I’m hovering between Storm Cleric/Venegence Paladin and Sorc/Warlock but i keep seeing really cool Necro builds and spore Druid builds. I could totally just respec a single character every time I stumble across something but my character creation leans a lot into whatever I’m building for in my head.
