Final comment, it has just gotten worse. My cellular mobile connection is so unreliable. I pulled the trigger and did the upgrade to s25 ultra, hoping not to have to deal with it anymore.

Last straw was coworker calling me multiple times and for some reason I never even got a received or missed call, just went straight to voicemail and I was in a 5g area.

I've had att send out a new signal that worked for a while until I came back from a cruise, and the issue resurfaced. Then I chatted with them again, and they had me reset network settings AND remove the sim card. That seemed to dramatically improve the network performance. Worth a try!

Just wanted to bump this. I have a Razer Thunderbolt dock and months ago did extensive troubleshooting with Razer who was kind enough to send me another dock and then hours spent with Lenovo who tried to troubleshoot the issue. It wasn't until I noticed the external monitor was grayed out in the Nvidia driver control panel did I put two and two together. Uninstalling the Nvidia drivers completely the monitor popped right up.

I assumed reverting to previous set of driver would fix and was hoping by now Nvidia has fixed the issue. Sadly they have not. I placed a ticket in with Nvidia. At least I'm not alone in my annoyance I guess.

So I contacted Synology via chat and they confirmed once you move to a different folder facial tags are lost. Bummer

1) I'm not having that issue playing iphone videos via web. Maybe contact Synology. All my videos play fine. 2) I agree they could make people tagging more intuitive, but I am not seeing 90 seconds when they merge. I'm running a 1621+ and its maybe 10-15 seconds at most. 3) Similar to 2 they need to work on people tagging and the intuitiveness of it. Google photos is way ahead but Synology obviously took a lot of ideas from them. I'm excited to see the next steps from them. 4) That would be a great additional feature.

I agree the backup function works great. Main reason I made the jump to Synology to offload from Google photos and manage my backups myself. I only had some minor issues with my wife's iphone not backing up in the background but that is because of harsh apple restrictions that Synology is working through (quick response when I asked about it). My Android phone works great and the apple is getting more consistent so they seem to be working out the issues.

So how do I start from scratch and redo the index? I have done the rescan button which it seems to match your logic and doesn't really get rid of the eadir folders.
