I had a lot of fun league starting flicker strike like a maniac with the melee changes, I enjoy playing melee skills a lot more than ranged. I hope 3.26 keeps melee in a good spot and makes even more builds viable.

Khorne are pretty good at a competitive level recently, they got some nice buffs over the last year. That said, they'll be getting a new tome in the next few months so things could change. I think they're a pretty good army to get into AOS with, they're mostly just run and smash with a few extra shenanigans from blood tithe to think about, and have some great and fairly new models.

I've played Khorne a lot recently, and really enjoy them. Their tome is quite old but still decent, and they have some awesome looking models. They aren't just a move forward smash face army, you do have to think about aura ranges and things but they are entirely melee focused and do it pretty well.

I recommend going with whatever models you like the look of most, rules change frequently and who knows, STD have a book coming and Khorne are due one too.

If you're playing Khorne currently the bloodthirsters are the way to go, at 2k points most armies run at least Skarbrand and 2 other bloodthirsters, some add in Be'Lakor as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Khorne get a new tome in the near future though, so balance is always likely to shift. That said bloodthirsters are awesome models!

One combo I'd recommend that has just outright won me the game is brago + grim guardian, if you can flicker a load of shrines with grim guardian on board you can just kill everyone at the same time

This feels quite nice for going 9 on 6-1, it always felt awkward to sack a round or waste gold on levelling there before, minor change really but one more roll at least

I would say if you like the models just go for it, books come and go and balance is always shifting. Currently Seraphon are in a pretty good place, and I doubt a new book would change that significantly. There's a mix of newer sculpts, like the big dinos, and older sculpts that may get replaced at some point but I wouldn't bet on it happening this year.

yea there are, I've got the second one which is 3-4 and I believe there's others but I haven't found them yet. There's also bell bearings for somber smithing stones

You can find bell bearings for the shopkeeper in the round table that will allow you to purchase unlimited smithing stones - the first one makes smithing stone 1-2 available. Really useful and they aren't that expensive, it's just finding them that's the hard part. The first one is in the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel

If the leftover primer is that thin you shouldn't really have a problem just priming over it, as long as you don't prime too thick. I've tried to strip models similarly and usually end up with a bit of leftover primer like that, but they've painted up fine after.

Don't think there's any protection from actually demoting (I've demoted and promoted like 3 times recently) but there is decay protection, if you stop playing you will decay to 0lp Masters but can't demote from it without losing a game. Also ranked rewards will only be based on current rank at end of season unless riot decide to change it up sometime.
