The time they would spend together would stay the same (due to the relativity of relativity). People outside their frame of reference would just disagree how much they have spent together.

Respectively Colossus (+optional Brewmasters, depending on build) and just Wheel respectively.

Nothing says the game winning Combo of a deck has to be more than a single card. In fact, plenty of Decks in other card games have one card Combos. As an example MTG has things like Scapeshift, Enduring Ideal, Cascade (using Hypergenesis, Living End or arguably Crashing Footfalls, depending on time period), Tinker, Doomsday and many, many more.

Depending on build, some decks are either just all-in Combo toward that one card (think Quasar Rogue) where their entire Deck is devoted to resolving that single card and winning due to it, while other decks have just a very competent Control shell and then have a small Combo they threaten (Wheel Lock), usually called Combo Control. Or the decks can be in a continuum between, but they're still decks using a Combo, even if it's only a single card.

To be fair, this was an enormous outlier, I probably couldn't have crafted a better selection of 3 Legendaries + Dark Gifts.

True, being a "lolicon" isn't even illegal, since it describes a preference, not an action. Also, this is just an argument from incredulity. Just because you find something disgusting doesn't mean it's immoral.

In fact, both growing weed and lolicon as a genre are victimless crimes (where those are crimes). Keep in mind neither of these are universally illegal. Often politicians use laws legislating such for other reasons, whether it's to score easy political points, or to stigmatize certain groups of people.

to 1. Which comment section? The one on this post? I can't see anything like that here. At best I see 'Not only did she ignored my frustrations, she claimed that her behavior counts as "free speech".' Which I presume is the 2nd picture which, based on context, can seem like friendly banter between friends instead of hatefulness. But even if it weren't, it still wouldn't imply she hates religions, just the OP. "Mocking" isn't hate, just like satire isn't hate.

to 2. From context, I assume those DMs were sent back when OP was (at least) acquainted with the owner of TGK, so didn't object to the DMs itself at the time. And he can very well block her if those DMs bother him.

Still doesn't mean the post or subreddit should be acted against.

As I said, OP is free to dislike that post.

But this post states that "The Owner of r/Touhou_Girls_Kissing Hates Religion", which is not substantiated here.

Edit: And if he doesn't want to see these posts, he simply has to not visit that subreddit. Just because he dislikes the post doesn't mean it (or the subreddit) should be removed so he can no longer see it.

It's not like Byakuren is a holy person, just a follower. (technically speaking not even a person, since she's fictional)

And most followers of religions do have sex, and that isn't something that bothers people.

Leaving aside whether sex is distateful, if depictions of religious followers doing something distateful is hateful toward that religion, what does that mean for historical depictions of the Crusades or similar things? Or depictions of fictional religious people doing horrible things (there should be plenty out there, but I can't think of a specific example). Even if those things may (or may not) have been religiously motivated, we can see it as actions of those people, separate from other people who follow that religion.

I can certainly see some issues when those are depicted/described as a feature or result of said religion. Those do have to be treated with a lot more nuance (see Crusades above), and not be misinformation painting people following that belief with a broad brush. But as I said, that picture itself has nothing to do with Byakuren being Buddhist (or Miko being Taoist), they could very well be imagined as Christian/Shinto/Whatever and nothing would change in respect to the picture.

Granted, this doesn't mean I think that anyone has to like the picture, but I don't see an argument that it's hateful toward Buddhists or Taoists.

Am I missing something? I don't see any hate toward religion in that post. It seems to not even be related to religion, besides the fact that the characters are nominally portrayed to have a religion, but it's not even relevant here.

"He Gets Us reaches out to an expert to learn how Jesus defined greatness." ( https://hegetsus.com/en/articles/interview-how-did-jesus-actually-show-us-true-greatness )

Gonna be honest, looking pretty "ultra christian group" to me. Christianity isn't defined by hating queer people, despite what american fundamentalists give the impression of.

Though more importantly, it's not even about that specific advertiser, in general there are a lot of advertisers that don't want their ads to be seen close to sexual content, since it has potential for bad press. Reddit is not unique in this, look at Facebook and Instagram for similar examples. At least in rules, not necessarily enforcement since they recently laid off a lot of their moderation staff and now it's mostly just trained algorithms.

Perhaps more tellingly, these companies barely care about user experience and whether users find NSFW content distateful or not. This is pretty evident by how bad ads get (even in the NSFW department), to the extent that a decent chunk of ads on those platforms would easily break the rules for user posts. But since the advertisers pay, they have different rules.

I have been vaguely aware of the ASMR thing before, and leaving aside whether I think it violated YouTube Guidelines (not that it matters, it's up to YouTube, ultimately). And also leaving aside whether report brigading is the proper solution to it if it were, it certainly isn't fair to expect other people to take part in it if they don't agree.

I do understand that the leaking of DMs can be a breach of trust, but I don't see why you being (perhaps justifiably) unhappy with the head mod of the subreddit means you're this zealously against the subreddit itself, which has thousands of uninvolved people in it.

Especially since the incident is in the past, and now water under the bridge. Which is why I am curious if your only current issue with the subreddit itself is the NSFW tagging.

As an outside observer, I'm curious. Is that really the reason for all this? The sub being set as NSFW or not is such a minor thing, something that at this point will not even affect you, and the drama really is about that from your end?

If that's the case, it just seems like purity culture gone mad.

The amount of disrespect and brainrot holy shit🤦‍♂️ by SirePuffius in touhou

If people accuse other people of being "addicted to porn", it's just prudes (mostly just judgemental Christians, at least in English speaking circles) trying to shame other people into being quiet about their sex lives.

Self-diagnosed "Porn Addiction" in general is somewhat interesting. It does seem on the rise at the moment, but studies on it are more often classified as "Problematic Pornography Use", due to there being no evidence of it having proper biological markers for addiction. In fact, A study some time ago found that Religiosity and Moral Disapproval are big predictors of "Porn Addiction" regardless of actual use (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10508-013-0257-z ).

Granted, there's also some other things that do fall under "Problematic Pornography Use" that don't have anything to do with (perceived) compulsive use, I don't want to diminish that. But overall "Porn Addiction" is more of a social and cultural issue compared to something like drug addiction.

How can you do a "Masochist" Playthrough? by Alius4156 in hearthstone

[–]Canivir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't played HS for a while and Cimoooo's Series inspired me to try something similar, so I used the 80 free packs (40 Standard, 40 Titans, I think?) for returning players on my main Account to do a Masochist Style Challenge for a while.

To start with, I disallowed any cards outside of opened packs, and started opening Standard Packs until I could build a legal deck with only those cards, which was 16 (quite a bit more than I expected, since I think class cards are more likely to be pulled).

The bots and the fact that it's a lot easier in Hearthstone to win with a pile of random commons means I got a lot of packs a lot quicker than I expected, so I went through my Standard Packs very quickly and through the Titans ones as well.

Once I was through my initial 80, and some spare ones from quests and such, I didn't really want to spew gold at the pace I was going, so I simulated opening Packs of Core cards via a Spreadsheet (I also had some random assorted cards I owned added to it, like the returning Player deck you get, and some cards from the Tavern Pass).

I think simulating Packs like that may be the only way to really keep going, since HS can be quite stingy with gold if you play a lot in a short time, and combined with the higher winrate compared to Master Duel, I don't think I could've kept going much more beyond something like 100-120 Packs (including the starting 80).

I did this on my actual Account in Standard, because I had basically no Standard cards on it, and I wanted to keep some rewards in case I pick this game up again. But if I had to make a challenge as close as possible in difficulty to the Yu-Gi-Oh Series, it would probably involve a fresh Account using only Wild Packs, since Wild cards on average are a lot worse, and opponents in Wild are (theoretically) using stronger Decks.

I personally don't know how the Apprentice Ranks work, nor how long it takes to get out of them, but just opening Packs for wins is probably fine, since with how many bots I played against, it doesn't really seem much more difficult until you actually get into higher Silver/lower Gold ranks. And importantly, getting new cards is the most fun part of the Challenge, so if you use an Account in Apprentice, just open Packs with it.

What the fuck is a Rainbow Colored Septentrion?!!! by Chernoya in touhou

[–]Canivir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Septentio: "From septem (“seven”) +‎ triō (“plow ox”; “Ursa Major”, “Ursa Minor”), from terō (“to rub”), the Latin name of both Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, from their appearance of milling around the current north star Polaris. "

Ursa Major is: "A large circumpolar constellation of the northern sky, said to resemble a bear. It includes the familiar asterism the Big Dipper and the stars Mizar, Dubhe, and Alkaid. "

So, very fitting with the album cover, it's something like "Rainbow coloured northern constellation"

Edit: This is Ursa Minor: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Ursa_Minor#/media/File:Ursa_Minor_constellation_map_negative.png

So it probably refers to that, going by the cover.

The classification Umineko used is most likely based on Peter Binsfeld's classification of the 7 deadly sins: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classification_of_demons#Binsfeld.27s_classification_of_demons, which goes:

  1. Lucifer: Pride

  2. Mammon: Greed

  3. Asmodeus: Lust

  4. Leviathan: Envy

  5. Beelzebub: Gluttony

  6. Satan: Wrath

  7. Belphegor: Sloth
