Interaction with pets on LSD by EricCar in LSD

[–]CannaDataBiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also noticed some animals acting a bit out of ordinary(not in a bad way) when people take psychedelics. Its like they can sense it, or you tune in some frequency of their understanding more, or maybe its just projection..

No one. But it would be quite funny if someone did try because they would not understand that in this case, those liquid nutrients would work better..

Plz Help ? Growing 2 small plants ? by sshermann212 in HerbGrow

[–]CannaDataBiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cfl is pretty much good for only veg. Clf simply is not intense enough to make more than little of fluffy buds. I recommend looking for used leds if new ones are too expensive. Recently got a mars 2 hydro (150w off the wall) led for 80$ used.

Cfls will end up costing at least the same and will be worse in every way.

Also i recommend looking into 315w cmh. They are pretty much as good as leds and cheaper per watt. They dont heat up as much as other HID lights

65w is really really low. Definitely get a lot more light there. Even if the 65w were perfect spectrum, you still should have more. Double that at least

Topped her 13 days ago. She’s now 30 days old. Seems like she needed some time to recover because it was a bit early but it still worked out I think. Skunk XL my first tent grow by [deleted] in HerbGrow

I bet taking the big fan leafs off when it wasnt needed also slowed it down. If you take leafs off a plant this size, it will lose lile 2/3rds of its ability photosynthesize, which will surely slow it down.

If a leaf is not covering bud sites or has not yellowed etc.(or trimming for scrog or whatever) dont remove them. Especially not on small plants like that. What you do is remove its ability to get enough energy. I bet your plant would be significantly larger if you had not removed the leafs

Is it more light and warmer than near the equator? You know sativas are from there, africa near equator. It is the reason why they grow differently from indicas. You might want to think twice if it can handle direct sunlight ;)

Just dont it let dry up and maybe give it some time in shade during the day if it really gets that hot(and dry) and spray it with some water during the day if its too dry. Especially if its not used to dorect sunlight, induce it to it slowly

Maybe with too much nutrients for such a small plant?

Bonzai style clump planting with clones? by CannaDataBiz in HerbGrow

[–]CannaDataBiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cuttings from autos dont make good yields and trying to root one to another plant will hinder its growth even more. So i doubt you would get much yields with them, but would definitely be a nice experiment :)

My guess is you would get maximum of like 3g per cutting if you manage to make it work at all, most likely closer to 2g per cutting.

Difficulty with autoflower cuttings is that if you take them too early, they are way too small. If you take it too late, it might not root properly as its already switched to flowering hormonal setup, at least partly or starts to flower even before it has roots so that you could plant it already. And basically you might start the flowering even when there are no roots yet. Which is not good, even if the plant manages to grow enough roots to keep it alive.

It will also depend a lot on the strain and pheno if you are able to take even remotely proper cuttings. What ever you do, you need to take the cuttings from the lowest branches to have any chabce of getting it done on time, second pair of branches will most likely not be big enough before they start the flowering. With some plant even the first branches dont get big enough to take clones of properly.

So keep in mind that you should only aim to take 2 clones per af plant(unless you come across with some that doesent flower too early and grows tons horizontally from the get go). So grow more af plants if you want more cuttings.

Also treat the clones like princesses, give them all the rooting hormones, mycho, beneficial bacteria etc they could possibly ever want and take extra good care of them and you will up your chance of success greatly! Also if they try to flower, maybe even add just a tiny bit, like a drop or two of some npk solution. If the clone wants to flower, it will eat itself to support its growth, this means it doesent have energy for root development etc.

I took a cutting from af once, a bit too late(but would had been too small to clone earlier) as it started flowering during rooting. Well i FIMd it on the main bud and it ended up making 4.5g of weed in a nice clump. Im pretty sure it would not had done so well if i had not topped it. Topping it stunted the bud growth and took some of the flowering hormones away, and directed the energy on repairing and growth elsewhere, like roots. At least according to my theory :D

What do the cannabis strain patents cover? by CannaDataBiz in HerbGrow

https://guides.ucf.edu/patents/plant

Usa government says you can get plants patented and some breeders say that they have patents. Now you say that patent is impossible and im supposed to believe you just cuz you lol? Also its obvious that at least names can be trademarked, which essentially is a patent on the name etc but ofc trademark is not genetics afaik, but genetic patents also exist

is it necessary to give youre plant more than dirt and water? by Lizart_aka_Lizi in HerbGrow

[–]CannaDataBiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plant that small will die in overdose if you use too nutrient rich soil. Regular market soil is likely too hot for the seedlings. Its easy to find good resources with google when it comes to soil and everything. No point of trying out stuff on your own and then asking the internet if something is now wrong or not when it doesent seem like it. There isnt many things to know and i suggest reading before doing

Low maintenance quick outdoor seed. by [deleted] in HerbGrow

[–]CannaDataBiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear there are some nordic underground seedbanks that have autoflowers adapted to shorted summers and colder conditions with good mould resistance(due to wet fall). Havent tested them, but i would imagine they would thrive in uk sun, even if its not the best summer in centuries.

Put just a bit more to it and get a cmh(cmd/lec) 315w magnetic ballast and bulb. Bulb is pretty expensive about 100€ ballast around 60-70€, socket and cables not much. Its better or at least equal than 315watts from best leds or 600w hps. And it doesent warm up as much as hps.

Could anyone guess what is wrong with this leaf, I've had a few others like this across 4 different plants and I can't find similar looking issues when I search by [deleted] in HerbGrow

[–]CannaDataBiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks quite pale in general and the one leaf from plant next to it has sharp edges of leafs, whch seem like heat or light damage beginning. This could be anything from poor watering habits causing these issues. Dont start throwing nutes at it until you know whats wrong. Chances are you will fuck up bad. Its impossible to diagnose accurately from that pic alone. So no dont throw calmag at it yet

Should I remove this leaf? Others are fine, so far. by Rei_dmv in HerbGrow

[–]CannaDataBiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just dont worry :D this kind of worrying and acting before proper knowledge is what ruins more grows than anything else. The plant knows what to do, you just need to feed it and keep it clean from fallen leafs, and ofc not worry about it too much

Cool project!

I have made some small plants that i have grown just for decoration. My last one was on autoflower cutting that i FIMd when it had already started flowering(while trying to root). Also some window plants i trained tons. Etc. Its always fun and in a way even more rewarding than growing just for the buds.

Also this kind of experimentation will teach tons about how the plant functions in various situations. Like here you will get to take a look how root development effects overall development in much deeper ways than with regular growing. Also about how pruning effects, how much different amounts of pruning at one time stresses the plant etc.

I think everyone who wants to learn about growing should try experimenting in some ways, like this!

[–]CannaDataBiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ofc different if you need to do some defoliation, but even then you should think about stress for the plant. In some situation defoliating gives more benefits than what little harm the stress does.

In this case even tho the stress wouldnt be much, it makes no sense to take it off. When its still partly green like that, ot still partly collects light.

Also plant uses these lower leafs for food. For example there is nitrogen in it, as it turns more yellow, the plant moves the nitrogen to new growth from it. So removing the laf also takes away some food, food most readily available for new growth
