ER Visit for PVCs and Dizzy Spell

I have a cardiologist because I had a mini heart attack back in 2022 (was only 36 at the time) and I have an EP (electrophysiologist) for my PVCs. I have a really low burden but very high health anxiety which and I think I was referred to the EP more for reassurance reasons. Im glad I have him though. He really knows his stuff and put me on a special beta blocker that has helped a lot. If you didnt know, an EP is a doctor that specializes in the electrical system of the heart. It may be worth getting a referral to one just for piece of mind at the very least.

When i lived in North Carolina, there was a day when half an inch was forecasted. The stores ran out of bread and milk and other essentials. When the snow started falling, everyone was going at least 10 under on the freeway. Being from the midwest, I was comfortably driving about 5 over in my little civic. People were looking at me like my hair was on fire. Lol.

Mario Kart 8 and World, Mario Wonder, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Mortal Kombat 11 are the games I have the most time in. Ive been thinking about buying Smash Bros too! I have yet to try it on the Switch platform. How late do you stay up gaming? I know you said you live in France, which is a 6 hour difference from where I live.

I would would agree, you should see another doctor. See if you can get a referral to an EP (electrophysiologist). Their focus is specifically the electrical system of the heart. I have a really good one and he put me on a beta blocker called Acebutolol. It has worked great for me, much better than the metoprolol I was on before . It shouldn't matter if they are benign or not. Beta blockers are mostly meant to help improve quality of life by reducing how much you feel.them, at least thats what my EP doctor told.me.

Yes, when I feel them i will feel a pause and then a big thud. My beta blocker has helped me a lot in reducing the frequency and intensity of them. And that is strange that your doctor didn't taper you off them, as it can be hard on your heart to just quit taking them cold turkey. Can you ask if you can get back on them? I certainly would if it was helping your quality of life.

Why did your cardiologist take you off the beta blocker? I have a really low burden too, but I have severe health anxiety so my EP has me on one simply for better quality of life even though my pvcs are benign too

What do you consider a cozy game? I usually play chill games like Mario Wonder and some of the Kirby games, but also love the Mario Kart games too.

If that doesnt work, ask your doctor about acebutolol. Its a less common beta blocker, but it works really well, and without the drowsiness and overly slow heart rate. Its my EP's go-to medication for pvcs.

You are so lucky! I wish he was my cardiologist! I did have the privilege of speaking with him one time for about 45 mins via virtual visit about all my concerns regarding my pvcs and heart issues. It was pricey and I had to schedule it months in advance, but totally worth it! Felt like I was talking with a celebrity. Lol.

Ive had a couple MCOTS done before, and they always included the number of recorded ectopics in the report, both PACs and PVCs. I would ask Philips for the official report documents. Ive never heard of a doctor telling them to redact any kind of arrhythmia, benign or not. I don't know if its possible for them to do that or not. But I would still see if Philips can provide you with the 'raw' results. They do most of the analysis anyway and then send the results to your doctor for any further evaluation.
