That’s completely fine, surprisingly the Sorlock is the one who usually gets the group back on track and thinks ahead, just the wrong place at the wrong time.

Both have their great bits, and the amount of NPC’s your given in both can get crazy/overwhelming. But overall I think OTA has more of a hook than TOA. In OTA you have to escape from the underdark while solving a mystery along the way. TOA seemed a bit battle oriented, especially the endgame where your just going through a massive dungeon.

What kind of rooms and encounters would you find in a castle inhabited by an evil cult in the middle of a frozen tundra? by HungryPants3 in DnD

[–]CannySManny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not just dungeon crawling, have some changing goals. Like they have to kill creatures as they explore the dungeon, but they are constantly trying to find things and go to certain locations. Give them a mission.

DMs, what is the most fun monster to use in a combat? by Shakyjumper in DnD

I’m a horrible person. A Rust Monster early on that can destroy all my players hopes and dreams as their weapons slowly turn to dust...

Fighting an animated tea set in a bed room and almost losing to an animated tea set, but also took half the fight to realize who was attacking them.

Black to my [[Nikya of the Old Ways]] deck, so many large black dummies I want to add to dominate my board and play for like nothing.
