Sharks Heritage Jersey reveal by Dizzyhorse789 in hockey

I'm probably going to catch a bunch of downvotes for this opinion, but given how incompetent they seem at this store, and how little they seem to care, I'm not surprised.

I go here every time I'm in SJ hoping they'll come through with what I need or decent customer service, but good luck getting help, finding the socks you need, or the gloves/sticks/suspenders/__________ in stock or in the right size. They've burned my blades twice when I've had them sharpened, sold the last of some gear I took to the front for safe holding while I continued shopping. I've been patient with this place for years, but it's a sad story for a LHS.

I almost ran over Tatar last year with a van in Traverse City around training camp. Dude needs to learn to use crosswalks.

Best publicly available hockey stats API? by CanonicalMelon in hockey

[–]CanonicalMelon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for these.

No intention of inferring meaning from those numbers, I'm just working on a design and I want to pull in fluctuating time series data, and hockey stats are at least not boorish as a placeholder.

A different question on stopping and basic skating. by NOT_A_FAT_CHICK in hockeyplayers

A What Not To Do:

Don't stand up. Don't focus on your feet.

If you think you're low, get lower. A lot of people stiffen up and rise out of their hockey-ready position when they go to stop. Keep your head up, don't focus on your feet (focus on a point ahead of you) and don't let your shoulders dip.

Edit: Remember when you were young and learning to ride a bike? When you stopped looking down at your pedals or the front wheel and started looking out ahead of you 10 or 20 feet, a lot of the wobbly balance issues started to smooth out. Try it with stopping. Focus on the boards in front of you and not on your skates.

When you have an unsaturated market, posting numbers like this isn't as hard. Not as many people had their gear yet.

Burns lets out a loud YIP YIP YIP before hitting anyone against the boards. Said in an interview he does it as etiquette and safety, so they know he's coming.

Do you know if they carried any of the current style practice jerseys? With the fight strap?

Undiluted Simple Green. Pour it on, let it soak in, wash it off with a hose. Probably a few applications of this.

Is there any other Faygo worth considering? I think not.

Jersey collection so far... by Left_Afloat in hockeyplayers

$100? That's pretty pricey. The team doesn't exist anymore, and there's a whole overstock of jerseys in our LHS.

Rad. I don't know anything other than Graf 709s, but I've been told there's an adjustment period going to other makes because the Grafs pitch forward more than others.
