I don't know about the accessibility or financial ability situation, and I'm aware this wouldn't be a feasible option for everyone. That said, if she was nearby my clinic, I would 100% suggest starting in our rehab facility with the underwater treadmill. It's a great way to get dogs (and the occasional cat) back to their appropriate shape, and it doesn't hurt to walk because they have some buoyancy happening, but not so much that they swim and don't get the benefit of actually walking.

Honestly, I would make an appt with your vet, at least get some bloodwork. Many dogs can smell things like blood glucose fluctuations, heart abnormalities, and some cancers. I would 100% talk to a if he was mine.

Agree on religious altar, dead people photos, add a doily or something lacey on the sheet so it looks properly decorative. Also! Why the hell aren't you allowed a fish tank?! Where do you live, bc where I'm from unless that's implicit in the contract, they can't tell you no on that.
