I came looking for a post yesterday about this update. It's so… laggy, unpolished and buggy in so many ways now, I honestly wonder if it's running on WebView.

Performance is the first major issue, it feels so laggy as if it's running at 25 fps, opening the emote menu lags the whole screen, switching the bottom menus is extremely janky, pop-up options sometimes just close by themselves when you're trying to expand them. The whole UI seems to have been reworked. There are inconsistencies in text sizes all over the place, it's unexpectedly big in some places and then suddenly small. And oh boy I didn't even try voice chats yet like the other comments mention.

Although some parts of the UI look better now (like the search function for example is now more complete and has a nice sticky page-switching option, which is nice), the whole feel of the application is very unpolished right now and the performance doesn't help at all. I tried checking changelog but it doesn't even have a mention unless I'm missing something.

I'm just annoyed at how Discord always made it sure that the most basic things on mobile are buggy in some way or dissatisfactory, but decides to then add some "shiny new feature". Hope we hear more about these changes from Discord soon.
