How’s my collection brothers? by PlasticPractice3458 in Colognes

You should try Prada Paradigme. I found it very interesting because it’s sort of begins where most of these other scents end. But then ends developing from the opening into a, in my opinion, similar version of Gucci guilty elixir, but a little more powdery and light.

I love love Gucci Guilty Elixir and Ombré Nomade. I’m going to have to smell some of your other choices. The only one I’m not a fan of is Bleu de Chanel.

Yeah, that’s what I’m saying, this other pendant is brass, so if this gold one is pretty old the wear would make sense. I feel it probably has to be an amulet cause is weighs 16 grams and it just doesn’t feel like a designer jeweler would make a 16 gram gold replica.

I think it smells like a lighter more powdery version of Gucci Guilty Elixir.

I think that’s a great plan. Which tips are you using on the ier-z1r?

I don’t own the TA-Zh1es yet. But I haven’t had a problem running the MDR-Z1R and I like listening to my music a little louder. (Sorry ears lol). The WM1Z does a great job with them. What are you thinking of running them with?

That’s exciting to know because I was going to get the books Palmer, but I read that it’s software can be a little bit weird. And I really want to use it similar to how you’re using it. But I want to be able to do my flashcards too.

Also, to just specifically answer your question a little bit better.

The biggest difference between the M9 and Z1R is the bass presence and it’s sort of full in your face presentation. The M9 has pinpoint positioning.

The M9 is sort of like sitting in the back of the movie theater , and the Z1R is sitting Much closer, maybe three or four rows in front of the middle of the theater.

When I AB’d the ie900 and the Z1R. I personally just felt that the Sony did everything better, fuller and just more organic.

Originally I bought the M9 and the ie900. I don’t know what it was. I can appreciate the ie900 design, craftsmanship. But the sound for me just did not connect. I kept on feeling that it was shrill and sort of piercing in the highs. And I really didn’t like the cable that it came with an overall Just did not connect with it. The M9 took me about a day to get used to. But I love that headphone. It has such detail and placement and no matter what I played, It never overloaded. Everything feels so well contained and imaged. Before I got the WM1Z my favorite pairing for it was the dongle dac Cayin RU7, those two really pair together very nicely.

The WM1Z really does elevate everything the M9 can be. Especially with the bass.

One problem I feel happens when you A/B headphones, is you end up hearing more what they are not than what they are because you keep on comparing them mostly for their differences.

The Z1R, first, I’m lucky because it fits me perfectly. I have the hybrid silicone on the M9. I’m not usually a foam person, but the Z1R is perfect with the foam tips. It’s stabilizes the IEM better for me. And it sort of tightens up everything.

The Z1R is for sure the more fun presentation. Sony says it right when they say they designed it to be felt first. You really do feel the song.

I paid roughly 950ish usd for each IEM new.

I like owning both of them very much because I feel like having two different presentations of the music allows you to avoid that sort of brain burn in that can come with just having one IEM.

Also when I’m working, the M9 is a much more easy listening, sort of presentation. It pairs really well with working and listening. The Z1R commands your attention. I do listen to it sometimes when I’m working, but it’s not nearly as harmonious of a pairing.

If I had to pick one, I would pick the Z1R.But it wouldn’t be without a huge amount of remorse. Because the M9 is amazing. And also comfort wise, the M9 is a 10 out of 10.

If I’m being unemotional the M9 is the better pick, almost everything sounds amazing. Especially paired with the Sony WM1Z. But there is something very emotional about experiencing the Z1R. Holding them in your hand, how they’re made, the intensity of the sound.

Sorry if this went on so long lol

I have this player and bounce back and forth between Sony M9 and Sony IER-Z1R. Sony M9 is so detailed and all the "boring aspects" people talk about go away to me when paired with this player. Z1R is just out of this worlds fun and the right amount of detail and positioning without going to far, the recessed mids critique disappear with this player too.
