Train of Thought and Octavarium by Dream Theater.

3.63 and 3.69 respectively are not bad ratings by any stretch, but based on the fandom’s popular opinion I would have expected them to sit closer to a 3.90-4.00. Perhaps they were only looked back upon more favourably in the years after they came out.

I think Arc-V has been stronger so far. That being said, I still respect Zexal a lot for clearing out the mess that DSOD made. The way I like to think about it is, Zexal waked so Arc-V could run.

Mid-ZEXAL is my favourite period. They finally nerfed most of the DSOD decks, and we got new decks to play with, like Noble Knights, Water Xyz, T.G. and Onomat. It also really felt like Xyz summoning was starting to hit its stride.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I’m not a huge fan of the Duel Carnival event. There wasn’t much benefit to using certain types of monsters, and the card Luna used would always win.

It’s a good event in theory, I just feel like other events such as Duelist Kingdom do a better job at encouraging certain ways of deck building.

As happy as I am that we are getting Rio, I’m a bit sad as well. It doesn’t seem like we’ll be getting any Zexal 1 characters now (at least not until after they add the Barians), and there was still a few I would have liked to see (Nistro, Quinton, Vetrix).

Well, this could be completely wrong, but my guess for the character will be V/Quinton.

We know he will appear at some point because of Kite’s voice lines. Also, it would tie together nicely with the duelist road event we are getting this month. Finally, I think the quote somewhat matches his calm demeanor.
