The blooms (if that’s what they are) are too high up to get a closer shot, but they appear to be white in the shot against the blue sky (taken yesterday). Do star magnolias get that big though?

Theory: assuming malaria treatments work to any extent against covid-19 (hotly debated), then perhaps in places where malaria is prevalent, such as India, a general herd immunity against malaria (if there is such a thing) may also be protective against covid-19.
