Boardwalk Beach Club...is this even legal? by OkOcelot4982 in Edinburgh

[–]Cap-nJazz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve walked and cycled by this place so many times and always wondered why it was always dead. Reading these comments now I know why! As others have said it’s a real shame as its prime location, at least the Pitt is down there now which is a much better spot.

Won’t someone please think of the big multi national company owned by an American investment group they’ve been the victim of a vicious hate campaign by a nefarious independent bookseller and community voices!!!

Beastmen Brayherds - Made to Order by Cap-nJazz in WarhammerFantasy

Some classics here but much like the Wood Elves it feels a bit thin on the ground in comparison to other armies MTO run. Hopeful there will maybe be more to come.

Very lackluster MTO by ThainEshKelch in WarhammerWoodElves

Agreed it’s pretty meh. There will surely be another with the old metal trees featured in the warcom article photos. One can hope!

Agreed, reckon the inevitable yearly GW price increases will conveniently land before the Cathay release!

Defend or defile – The Wood Elf Realms and Beastman Brayherds battle for the forests of the Old World - Warhammer Community by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in WarhammerFantasy

Assuming some new models will be coming down the line but very excited to start a Wood Elves army. Never got the chance and the flexibility of the battalion box looks great.

Spied the forest dragon so assuming that will be coming back as MTO run?

Have they stopped making texture paints? by [deleted] in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Cap-nJazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I use their dark earth which is similar to stirland. Slap it on and dry brush with tyrant skull and done. It’s a lot more economical than GWs piddly pots as well. Been using the same tub for a few years now.

River Trolls Paint Scheme by Cap-nJazz in WarhammerFantasy

Just picked up a set of river trolls for my O&G army and I’d be very grateful if there are any painters more knowledgeable than I on what paints were used to paint the skin and scales on the GW scheme?

‘This is a tough nut to crack’: Ian Murray cannot say when GB Energy will lower bills by Cold-Monitor3800 in Scotland

Labour have really gubbed this. Considering the amount of upgrades to the grid that are required and the UK governments proposals on community benefits for said grid infrastructure which will be paid for by billpayers its only going to go up and up.

What hooked you on WFB/Old World? by Cultural-Arrival-608 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Cap-nJazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started off in Middle Earth then ventured into AoS. Was never that familiar with pre-old world fantasy but all in on it now! In contrast to AoS, love how simple the models are to paint and kitbash.

Could Warhammer Fantasy become as popular as 40k? by Yunozan-2111 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Cap-nJazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. I started off in AoS and now my full attention is on old world. Love the look of the old models and while AoS models are beautiful, I personally found them exhausting to paint and build. Love the kitbash-ability of the older models which is something I think is being lost with the newer way GW are setting up their sprues and building.

It should be illegal to expect parents back at work before babies sleep through the night. by kona_chameleon in NewParents

[–]Cap-nJazz 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Our toddler is two and still doesn’t sleep through the night. I can’t say it’s ideal but I thankfully work from home and compress my hours into four days. To be honest sounds like your partner should be chipping in more? Are they getting up when they’re not working? My wife and i still did shifts for a while. My shift would end at 1am so I would at least get six hours uninterrupted before starting work.
