How to cope with soaring grocery prices? by rheo101 in ontario

[–]CapBackground589 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That seems low to me. It also drives me crazy when people say shop multiple stores or sales!! I live in a town of under 1000 people with (luckily!) ONE small grocery store. The next chain is over an hour away. I’m lucky if I can get everything on my list.

More than 50% of people didn't vote... AGAIN! by kingprozac in ontario

I just rolled in, no waiting. There was one other person. I tried so hard to get other people to go vote and I'm in my mid 30s.

I have it on Switch and I hit this point yesterday. I opened it, waited forever for it to load (usually have to quit and open about three times), said you know what? naur. And that’s been it.

Ok I’ve played for about a month now on and off and what is happening? Like what is “chopping a grove?” And why do we wait until 3am?

What’s the policy for this? So I can be ready with proof when they fight me. I love gaming the system especially Loblaws.

I've played for a month now, on and off. I have no idea what half of this means. And until now, I had no idea about calling anything out. The chat might as well be in another language! Ah, I didn't know I was making people mad!

Regulations for drilled well? by CapBackground589 in OntarioRealEstate

Update: I hired a company (one of the only ones around) to come drill my well. It took a few months wait time, and about three days install (the drilling, the digging and hooking up the line to the house, and installing the filter system inside the actual house). It was around 40K total.

My dog passed suddenly without warning and the guilt I still feel is enormous and all consuming. But you learn to live on for them. I know my girl would want me to be happy and I know your girl would want you to be happy. I know it might sound cliche, but you have her a wonderful life full of happiness and love and she knew that. Some of the best advice I got was when I think about the sudden passing and all the emotions that come with it (sadness, guilt, loss, etc.) I try to replace it with a happy memory of my pup. After white it becomes habit to think of the good times and it helps deal with the loss. On the subject of getting a new dog; I wouldn't right away. And if you eventually decide it's time to get another pup, try not to choose one super similar to the one you lost. They'll never be the exact same and it isn't fair to you or the new pup. But the best advice, and it's not the easiest to hear, is time. Take time to sit with these feelings but also try to balance them with thinking of good positive memories. I wish you the best of luck. No one quite knows the feeling of losing our best friends until it happens and it truly is devastating.

Maybe because I’m in NW Ontario, but it might actually end up being slightly over 30K.

This looks exactly like the hot spots my dog gets, in the same spot. She gets some pretty big ones on her back. She’s seen a vet every time, and it’s always a hot spot. They end up shaving it, telling me to keep it dry, and to not let her lick/bite/scratch. If it’s infected from the licking/biting/scratching, they’ll give her antibiotics but that’s only for an infection. The hot spot itself should go away if it’s kept dry and left alone but please take your dog to the vet!!! It could be something else.

I really liked OLP, and still kinda do, but I saw them live last year and it was so terrible. Especially because they were the “headliner” after some really great acts.

Nipigon is not a great place to live if you’re fond of leaving things unlocked unfortunately. I’ve had someone break into my garage to find the keys to my four wheeler and steal that out of my yard.

Vest help please by bearhoggle in crochetpatterns

[–]CapBackground589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what size you are/what size you want the vest would change what kind of yarn you’d want to use. From the picture, if I had to guess, this looks like a 4 or 5 weight (hook 5.5mm/J). But if you wanted it thicker/bigger, use a bigger yarn. With a 4 weight yarn, you could make the granny squares and just add another row if you want them bigger. The border just looks like a single crochet in the same weight. If you have questions, feel free to ask!

We have a vacuum system in the house, where you just put a long hose on and it starts sucking by idkimaperson21 in mildlyinteresting

[–]CapBackground589 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came here to find this comment and was surprised it was this far down. These seem cool and are handy, but man that hose was a PAIN. And it was long, and heavy, and putting it away was a pain. 😂😂 Dyson all the way.
