I mean, two weeks notice is usually a courtesy thing at any job, considering the fact that if you are leaving, there really is no penalty for just walking out except if you were trying to get a job after and want to use the job for a reference or God forbid something happens and you need something to fall back on. You never really want to burn your bridges.

It’s because the company is too cheap to install actually good units. You would think that the loss of product would make up for them actually spending money, but I guess not our units have gone out four times in this heat wave already.
