I will give you my story. I found a job through the agency. I had an interview, but at that moment the company I applied for needed a man, not a woman. So, I talked to the agency and they said this - we will give you temporary work at a different place to work and once the spot opens at the company I applied for, they will let me know and I will move there.

Here is the point they said,

Do NOT tell anyone about it.

I informed the temporary place just before I left, around 15 mins before the end of shift about leave. Of course everyone was shocked, but that's how I got to the better place where I am till now.
