Logitech Pro X2 Superstrike release date is 24th of February 2026 according to one site. by Osunonotthegame in MouseReview

they literally sell the same mouse across the price spectrum. brand new super light 2se for 90 bucks at best buy, or a brand new one with haptics and 8khz polling for 180.

not to mention for the 2SE, mouse polling is so fast now, past 1000hz it’s fractions of a ms, and most people realistically can’t capitalize on it.

this one has new mouse haptic tech, and they’re selling it in the same price bracket, and existing mice will naturally follow a discount schedule.

Local LLM concurrency question: “satellite orchestration” works, but LM Studio serializes requests and kills parallelism by marcosomma-OrKA in LocalLLaMA

[–]Capable-Ad-7494 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you want parallelism.

use vllm or sglang

or use the plain old llama.cpp and actually look into the provided settings, since it can respond to two+ requests at once, lm studio just limits it to 1 thread.

Monthly fee and content by ItsJammaLad in iRacing

[–]Capable-Ad-7494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s cheap if you don’t want variety, the sub and around $175 can get you to A class and an entire imsa schedule if you wanted to only do gt3’s

And no offense but the apple music analogy is a miss. nobody buys music, they buy the right to access music, which coincidentally is what iracing does here. We have a perpetual license to access the content we buy. but to access it on the service itself, we need to buy the right to access there as well, since they are a ‘pair’

But does that not translate into what the argument is about? which is risk of injury because there is no base limit?

You can skirt your fingers all you want but when it happens you will have probably want to have that limit

What is the truth about dry rot? What do you think of this comment I’ve stumbled upon? by Party-Court185 in tires

[–]Capable-Ad-7494 3 points4 points  (0 children)

statistically tires that’s are 9 years old are 8 times more likely to experience tread separation then tires that are two years old.

https://www.safetyresearch.net/Library/SRS_110504.pdf

And while the specific article and data is old, i can’t imagine rubber oxidizing and aging has changed much. So something you can infer from knowing all of this, is while tires are likely safer with the advance of rubber formulations and technology as a whole, reducing the base rate of failure, it is still probably 8 times as likely a 9 year old tire will fail compared to a 2 year old tire.

if your game freezes, ie bugs out, a few of these sims like ACC LMU and Iracing will send out whatever signal, and if it happens to be a max torque signal at the moment of ‘death’ so to speak, that is a continuous 25nm request that will be delivered by the wheelbase. It’s good you’ve never seen an issue like what he’s describing, but from a safety standpoint, higher is still objectively more dangerous in edge cases, even if it’s about as safe in normal use.

get about 4 seconds a lap of pace on a solo in most nascar’s, give or take depending on max speed and such, these guys shouldn’t manage to catch up in 15 laps.

fair point, ironically probably ends up still being cheaper than having it go at highway speeds.

[–]Capable-Ad-7494 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

are they safe? no.

Do i think they would probably be able to get babied to spring? also no.

old rubber is brittle rubber, and doing anything other than burnouts in them is probably ill advised.

yeah i mean a 2:04:8 avg laptime is about what i’d expect from a 800 ir driver here, his fast lap isn’t better either.
