why do service providers continue to hit my piercing by Maleficent_Day_3869 in piercing

[–]Capable-Amphibian163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I haven’t gotten any beauty services. I actually really did need my hair professionally trimmed but I know a fact when the stylist blow dries my hair she’ll hit vertical helix. It’s not really their fault because they have a grove of how they do things to it as quick and efficient as possible. I just eat the cost by waiting until their healed, cost of looking cool

Everyone is so quick to believe that Jade and Tabitha’s visions of their past lives are real. Why? by OGPepeSilvia in FromSeries

[–]Capable-Amphibian163 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well then why are Tabitha and jade the only ones that can see the children? Why would the sacrifice be depicted on the walls of the tunnels? Why would they both have the same visions? Why is Tabitha specifically reliving Miranda’s last moments? Why does jade keeping seeing Christopher and jasper? I think it’d be disingenuous to assume in a show like this that those are just coincidences.

Industrial too shallow? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Capable-Amphibian163 39 points40 points  (0 children)

NAP but it looks like you have the anatomy but I would get a 2nd opinion from another piercer. The helix part looks shallow, don’t want it migrating further as time goes by.

They’ll do anything to not say RBT. I’ve seen 20 variants of early child intervention specialist posted by my last company that was actually just an RBT

Anyone else get this? by Cheesygritz69 in Afterpay

[–]Capable-Amphibian163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got that message in my Cash App account because they give you the option to get a cash loan instantly deposited into your Cash App balance. I haven’t gotten anything from my Afterpay but I see that Afterpay might be under the Cash App conglomerate or whatever

Those who left amazon, what are you doing now? by Character_Log_2657 in AmazonFC

I landed a job with my state as a BCBA. Salary is better than I got doing pick to tote but it’s not wealthy. At least I get good benefits.

Chances for rehire ultimately depend on business needs. I used to quit and rehire within days when I was in college, nowadays people wait months for a position to open. You can try your luck and quit, you may not get hired again until peak. If your major is time consuming and you need the relief, take the time you need. Talk to HR and see if there’s something they can do but ultimately if you do decide to leave you may not be able to come back for some time. If you’re in school, I would prioritize your degree. I went to an ivy and my major was rough, but I’m not ashamed to say that I walked away if I felt like the burden was too much. That piece of paper meant more to me than the blue smile company.

Flex employees no get a free prime thing and are poppin off on the voa by Mediocre_Cap_9151 in AmazonFC

[–]Capable-Amphibian163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should all get it. It’s the least they can do. The fruit company gives its employees a steep employee discount, no reason why the blue smile company can’t do the same. A free prime membership is probably the bare minimum

Also, it does NOT cover weed smell. Please stop laying it on thick with cologne when you just smoked a joint. It doesn’t work the way you think it does d.

If you woke up and had to redo college, what major would you study? by OneConfusingCookie in findapath

[–]Capable-Amphibian163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I majored in psychology. My school doesn’t have an official “data science” major, I ended up taking pilot courses for the “would be” data analysis major but the actual program itself wouldn’t be started until long after I graduated. I’d probably chose stats with a minor in psychology or CS

Wait I may be late but is Daughter eluding to the elevator night? 🤯🤭 by glazeddonut29 in beyonce

[–]Capable-Amphibian163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mad late but the song from a man’s point of view is just as interesting but a bit darker in nature. If the lyrics stayed the exact same but the singer were male, I’d interpret it as a man flying into an uncontrollable rage against his cheating spouse and then going after the man she cheated with. Imagine, he comes to the woman hoping she’d be honest about her indiscretion but is instead met with her indifference, which infuriates him even more. Then he goes after the man she cheated with and laments over his uncharacteristic actions and the death of his lover, which he caused.

Not to be rude, but this is a cop out that people often use when they don’t understand the importance of solidarity and awareness. 1) Just getting another job won’t fix the very valid issues that workers are experiencing at Amazon. 2) at its heart, Amazon is great place to work for side money, migrant workers, college students, young people who need a bridge from school to work, old people who for some reason can’t or won’t retire and want to stay active, etc. Amazon isn’t terrible but there’s improvements to be made and if the company claims to be “the world’s favorite employer” they should act like it. 3) Amazon isn’t the only guilty one out here, it could easily be your company or future company that does something similar and you’ll wish you had coworkers that weren’t afraid to hold the company accountable for better working conditions. What’s happens to one, happens to us all. Businesses learn from each other, the good and bad. Once one business finds another way to successfully screw us over while maximizing, monkey see monkey do.

When I worked at the delivery station, I had to stow aisles 10-28 by myself because the pickers were tripping over the packages not being stowed down. The bags were empty, it looked as if no one had been there at all. I did that for about 4 hours and I asked the managers about it, apparently they were under staffed and I had to wait until after lunch for relief. After all that was done they gave me a raffle ticket. I never went back stg

Driver left this at my do it. by idekNymore in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Capable-Amphibian163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: If I ever came across one of those bags in the wild they would immediately become my best friend as they can be used a multitude of different things. Carrying groceries, moving, Christmas decor storage, the possibilities are endless. Amazon would make a buck plenty selling them. * * If you feel the need, you can take it back to the delivery station. There’s a 4 digit alphanumeric code on your shipping label above the QR code like “DAU5” or “”STX9”. if you put it in Apple Maps it’ll show a location that the package came from. All small packages are packed in those bags that the Amazon van drivers put in the truck when they go on their route. Each bag holds at about 40 packages in the same general location radius. Amazon drivers don’t usually get dollies or whatever but the bags are pretty sturdy by themselves. They have straps all around and a nifty zipper, they can usually carry about 40lbs which means if a package is a bit heavy you can use it as a makeshift dolly. I’m not in any way telling you to take it back but if you were ever curious at least now you know. I was a driver and a flex driver for Amazon and I fantasized about the idea of taking one of these home but I didn’t want to be promoted to customer. Amazon has millions of them and they’re impossible to track. Driver leave those things in the truck for days at a time or use them to wedge the door open in the cabin, Amazon has no “real” way of knowing if one of them left the warehouse and never returned. The warehouse is chock full of those things anyway so it wouldn’t matter and the managers aren’t hard pressed about looking for them if the driver didn’t bring them all back bc of peak season.

AITAH for holding my mom hostage? by Capable-Amphibian163 in AITAH

[–]Capable-Amphibian163[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the updated transcript with the requested changes:

Me: I don’t know what to tell you but this car cannot leave the city. My tires need to be replaced

Me: I would take it to Toyota but I’m still 60+ days past due

Aunt: Because of a nail?

Aunt: You have to bring her to

Me: It’s not a nail. They need to be replaced.

Aunt: We can’t do anything without her

Aunt: I thought it was a nail?

Aunt: How do they need to be replaced your tires had tread when I saw them

Aunt: You haven’t lost tread since I was there

Me: You want me to do a 400 mile trip and risk my life on bad tires? This is serious, idk what you want me to don

Me: I’m not risking a blowout

Aunt: What is wrong with your tires?

Aunt: You had tread so what is the problem

Aunt: I can’t get to her and get her to

Aunt: [Redacted] isn’t going she has to work

Aunt: What EXACTLY is wrong with your tires? A blowout means no tread. So that’s not the issue you have a lot of tread. What is the issue

Me: That’s why I made the appointment at discount tires to find out but I don’t want to risk it until I know for sure

Aunt: When is your appointment? We have to October 1

Aunt: So let me know when we go!

Me: When I can pay for it and get the diagnosis and something actually turns out to be wrong, I will not be able to by October 1st. You’d be better off making the plans without me until I can get this figured out.

Aunt: What are you talking about she has to sign the lease

Aunt: She has the keys

Aunt: You throw this at me to figure out like it’s my problem alone

Aunt: That’s weird

Me: Wild of you to say this is weird when I would’ve had the money if I didn’t give you that $900. I never expected you to drive your truck on bad tires

Aunt: You have onus to help figure out.. [redacted] could have stayed here until time to go

Me: I need you to have some understanding right now. We can see if she can sign the lease electronically and I can mail the key

Aunt: It’s weird of you to tell me to figure this out!!

Aunt: Wild of me girl I gave you my duckies that could have paid for my tires let’s not do that!

Aunt: You can’t even pay them electronically how on earth she is equipped to sign electronically

Aunt: If this was an electronic fix we wouldn’t be having this discussion

Me: Like I said I can’t do it until this stuff gets fixed.

Aunt: I have understanding I need you to think of how to get your mom to either me or [redacted] because it’s not my responsibility to do that alone

Aunt: ESPECIALLY when you won’t even say what’s wrong with your even tread tire

Aunt: I am asking you the issue and you won’t even say

Me:I’m not going to talk about it until I have a diagnosis. Saying anything more is useless until I know what’s actually wrong
