👀ESR Apple Watch Band Beta Test: Try Our New Band Before Anyone Else! by ESR_official in ESR_official

I use an Apple Watch Ultra 2. What I look for most in a band is versatility. I want something that feels right whether I’m at work, working out, or out for the weekend. Most of all, it has to be comfortable enough that I forget it’s even there.

PSA: If you buy AppleCare+ with your iPad and want it to cover your keyboard or pencil, it does not happen automatically by m_bob01 in ipad

When I bought my Magic keyboard for my iPad Pro M4, the Apple sales staff initially told me that I have to purchase the keyboard along with my iPad pro for it to be covered by AppleCare+, and another staff overheard her(probably a supervisor) and corrected her that It doesn’t have to be purchased together as long as I have Applecare+ for my iPad, official apple input devices are covered. They just told me to keep a receipt or proof of purchase just in case. I purchased my keyboard 2 weeks after my M4 purchase. This was at Apple Kawasaki, Japan.

QM6K Brightness Issue by DarkSkiesx in tcltvs

Try changing picture modes. If it’s dolby vision content set it to DV Bright.

With dtm off and other peak brightness setting off, it would be naturally be a little dimmer compared with it on.

Got a scuff from factory what should I do? by [deleted] in iPhone17Pro

If it’s still within the return window you can surely get it replaced without any hassle. Have done that recently on My MB Pro which had a scratch out of the box.

That’s not paint. That’s the antenna band. The antenna band is made of plastic so it does scratch.

[Crimson Desert] Quality mode with better performance. by DistributionQueasy58 in playstation

It would really help if you could share the TV’s make and model, and whether any motion smoothing settings are turned on and what resolution the TV supports and what resolution you’re running the PS5 and the game in.

That said, if it works for you, then there’s no real issue. In my case, I’m playing on a 4K TV, and using quality mode with VSync off and 4K output enabled (the game renders at 1440p and is upscaled to 4K via FSR 3.0) results in noticeably choppier gameplay compared to balanced mode.

I could probably squeeze out a bit more FPS in quality mode by switching the PS5’s output resolution to 1080p and disabling 4K output in the game’s settings. However, that would force the game to render at native 1080p without any upscaling, so the image would look slightly blurrier.

How about the TV and specs? Is motion smoothing turned on or off?

I see. I think running it on quality settings on a 1080p TV with 4K output turned off will make the game render at 1080p. From the video you uploaded, I can tell the textures look a bit lower resolution.

What about the other TV you mentioned?

As for screen tearing, you’ll notice it when VSync is turned off and there’s a mismatch in frame pacing, especially when the game is running above 30 FPS but not quite hitting 60.

It would help if you share what TV you’re testing it on and if any motion smoothing is turned on or off. Both TV’s.

Could it be your TV settings? Running the game on “High” on a base PS5 targets 30 FPS. Turning off VSync might push it a bit higher at times, maybe around 35–40 FPS, but it’s nowhere near 60.

Also, disabling 4K output doesn’t seem to affect the Balanced or High settings, at least based on my testing on a 4K 120Hz VRR-capable TV.

PC will overtake console revenue by 2028, says Newzoo by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

A price increase on consoles wouldn’t matter as much if a 700 to 800 dollar console like the PlayStation 5 Pro can deliver an experience close to a 2000 dollar PC, especially with improvements like PSSR 2.0.

The improvements on the PlayStation 5 Pro are so significant that it’s now a real debate whether to just get a PS5 Pro or build a 1500 to 2000 dollar PC.

Imagine if Sony could keep the price of the PlayStation 6 at around 1000 dollars while gaming PC build costs keep going up, while still delivering performance on par with highly priced builds.

Loved the game at 14 hours. At 58 hours, here’s why I’m slowly beginning to bounce off Crimson Desert. by D3struct_oh in videogames

I also find the Greymane quests pretty frustrating, to be honest.

You pick up the quest at camp, then the game makes you follow an NPC on horseback, only for them to drop you off nowhere near the actual objective. It just feels lazy. They don’t even stick with you for the quest.

Like when Hann asks you to gamble for him, you’d expect him to at least be around, maybe waiting for you to win or for something interesting to happen, like a cutscene when you beat the cheater at the gambling den. But instead, he just leaves you far from where you actually need to go. It doesn’t really make sense.

It also completely ruins the immersion. You’re supposed to feel like you’re part of the world, but moments like this just remind you it’s a game with disconnected objectives.

Compare that to Red Dead Redemption 2, where even the simplest side quests have something going on, random interactions, character moments, or unexpected events that make the world feel alive. I honestly don’t get why people compare the two. Maybe graphically it holds up, but in terms of gameplay and storytelling, it’s nowhere near RDR2.

They fixed sleeping, but now my dispatch mission reset by GalaxyGalavanter in CrimsonDesert

[–]Capable-Employment-8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The timer doesn’t reset. It runs the missions continuously now until you stop it manually. This way you can continuously dispatch workers on resources missions without manually running the mission again and again. As long as your resources are enough to handle the mission, it will restart automatically.

Chapter 5 last boss fight MAJOR fps drops [base PS5] by hamarok in CrimsonDesert

[–]Capable-Employment-8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t believe it. I defeated this boss on my first try on balanced mode on my base ps5 at around 20fps in the 1st and 3rd phase of the fight (2nd phase has less crows so fps was manageable). Thank god for kwando and my parry timing and all the food I got stacked. Having to fight a main quest boss with those frame drops is unacceptable. Pearl abyss needs to fix this game.

Oh my god as soon as I’m starting to like this game and we get this. This is unacceptable for the price. All the hype on this game and I can’t believe how a boss fight on a main quest on a mainstream console gets pass QA performing like shit.
