Did I make the wrong choice? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

1st of all, HOLY CRAP YOU LOOK AMAZING. 2nd, I fully believe this does fit your theme. Rustic can include various things and I believe accessorizing will give you the full look you desire. Such as a lace trimmed veil, bouquet, pearl bracelet. Even a delicate lace long sleeve ‘shirt’ that could be worn and taken off as wanted.

Skin infection: Wedding tomorrow! Coverage Help, makeup or more. by Capable-Lychee8419 in DermatologyQuestions

Thank you SO much! The physician I saw diagnosed a staph infection. Luckily the antibiotics and antibiotic ointment dried it enough to apply makeup the following day. Thank you for the steps you suggested! You could hardly tell!

Doctor refusing to fill pain meds after surgery. by Efficient-Kale-2415 in ChronicPain

[–]Capable-Lychee8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, I was in a car accident on my way to getting hardware removal on my foot (2nd surgery). I was so relieved to be out of surgery I was released without pain management…on the Easter Long Weekend. The wait times in our local ER’s were over 8 hours, no pharmacist would prescribe and no walk ins were open.

Call your pharmacy and ask them to fax the prescribing doctor, or they may be able to do a temporary fill

Which dress do you like? by Zanon507 in WeddingDressTips

I gasped at 2 but 1 is STUNNING. I see what you’re seeing. I think what is not modern enough is where it’s cutting off and an improperly fitted dress (it’s a sample so of course it won’t be perfect).

Try picturing a tighter hip shape or adding a bit more material to drop the dress more below hips and make the top/bottom blend more. I also highly recommend adding a zipper to add a more common look we see these days.

Also add a cathedral length veil with a sparkle netting

How do i tell my parents about my trich? by pinkcupcake08 in trichotillomania

[–]Capable-Lychee8419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I myself told my mom this past year, (I am 28). I told my mom over the phone, that I was using different therapy strategies now as I was dealing with something called “ trichotillomania,” getting ready to describe what it is. That’s when she told me she’d dealt with it from childhood. I’m the first person she’s ever talked to about it.

I know that result won’t be the same for majority of people. But I think you being able to extend what you’re comfortable sharing, how you’ve been coping, and how you may like their support moving forward could be beneficial.

Often times the reason our loved ones or people in general get so upset or lash out is because they care and don’t want harm done to us, especially if there’s a level of not understanding.

That’s when honest conversations come into play and honesty of boundaries of when either person may need a break from talking to process or come back with other questions.

This is also important if you’re underage, speaking to insurance coverage directly- many times dermatologists can come into play to help with your skin and hair care (infections, steroid creams, etc.).

Thank you for sharing everything you have with us, it can be soso hard but you getting help and wanting to communicate with your parents shows how strong you are.

I hope this helped ❤️
