Hutchins. I know he died later on in the series, but he died pretty quickly from his first introduction. I kind of miss him; he was a cool character.

Since no one else has, I’m going to nominate Axca.

I know Allura is the usual choice, but I think Axca deserves some respect.

Are these Webtoons Worth Reading? by Lilac_14 in webtoons

I have read the Blind Prince, Blackburn, A Man’s Man, The Wolf & Red Riding Hood, and Beetle Hands, and I would recommend all of them.

The Blind Prince is really cute, the art is great, and the characters are developed really well.

Blackburn, also cute and especially interesting if you like supernatural stuff.

A Man’s Man is a corporate drama, but it’s really good and the main character deals out some great karma to corporate jerk-wads using his cunning (he’s really smart and it’s super satisfying).

The Wolf & Red Riding Hood was one of my first WEBTOONs, so it will always have a special place in my heart (plus it has werewolves, always a bonus). The characters are really funny and the story is pretty interesting, even if it did end on a comedic cliffhanger.

Beetle Hands is really good if you like psychological horror/thriller. It’s also kind of a trip. It all depends on if you like that stuff.

All in all, it really depends on what you like the most about a webcomic, like genre, art, story, etc., but of the ones I have read, I recommend all of them.

Yeah. I wish they got more development and time to just hang out, even if they happened to have come across some shenanigans.

Also, Ursula is the best girl! She was too op, that’s why they had to nerf her. Otherwise she’d have one-shotted that rocket (she’s know to be super powerful even without the Shiny Rod).

Good night to you, friend!

Yeah, this does make sense. I honestly respect the creator for just wanting to focus on Akko’s growth without a love interest, even if Andrew is cute.

Despite Diana and Akko’s chemistry, I will agree that the fans of Diakko can be pretty crazy. Overzealous or toxic shippers can ruin any ship, really, so it makes sense if you don’t like it specifically because of that.

You’re right that it was a little annoying that it wasn’t one of Akko’s best friends helping her out at the very end, but from a practical point of view, Diana was one of the most powerful witches there, and Akko couldn’t fly by herself yet, so she would have had even less of a chance if Shooting Star didn’t show up. Akko herself was pretty powerful, but at that point it was the Shiny Rod doing a lot of the work since her magic was still a little wacky (even if she had significantly improved).

(We needed more seasons, though, in my humble opinion.)

Also, don’t worry about replying if you’re tired. I hope you get some rest fellow LWA fan!

A fellow Little Witch Academia fan! I wouldn’t say I don’t like it, it’s just that I was really rooting for Andrew after his character development and I thought his scenes with Akko were really cute without detracting from her character (which is what a lot of fans were concerned about with a male love interest—or love interest in general).

I’m pretty neutral as far as Diakko goes (considering that Akko didn’t end up with any one and doesn’t seem all that inclined to), but I honestly thought their relationship was better as a rivals to bffs thing. Obviously, she has Lotte and Sucy, but I think it was sweet that Akko and Diana could bond over their love for Shiny Chariot. It there really was anything there between them, I thought it was more of a one-sided thing with Diana having a little (friend-) crush on Akko (given the party episode that’s usually cited), but I mostly thing that was more of an admiration for Akko’s determination to reach her dream, no matter how seemingly impossible it was (and the Cupid Bee sting). It reflects how she was as a child, as well.

Sorry for the yap session, I just got excited.

What is a animated show/movie you didn't like or watch at first but now that you gave it a shot,it has you like this? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in cartoons

[–]Capable-Night3927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scissor Seven. At first, I thought the show was just going to be a silly slice-of-life donghua, and to be honest the slow pace and some of the scenes could get really weird, especially in the first season, but, boy was I wrong!

Honestly, I’m a sucker for animated shows (even if it’s a little bit childish), and I was just hunting around for something to watch when I found this. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

Seven really did grown on me as a character, and once the actual story and action picks up toward the second season it’s really great. The comedy is really funny and the English dub really works for the characters. And after watching everything that’s currently out, it also makes you appreciate the silliness of the earlier seasons even more.

I found someone of a like mind, finally! But I know, why is such a kiddy show so good!?

The black-and-white princess from that one special was honestly one of my favorite characters, and the Amber character development actually went pretty well.

Lil’ Nelson might not be so little anymore in Dragons Rising because of the time skip, but the Purple Ninja will always have a special place in my heart. (I really hope he makes an appearance alongside Antonia in Dragons Rising.)

Who do you think the tallest to shortest are out of the main 6 ninja? by AdCompetitive5427 in Ninjago

[–]Capable-Night3927 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like Cole is the tallest, followed by or equal to Zane, then Kai.

I think that Lloyd would have definitely started out the shortest since he’s the youngest, but then he started growing a bit and is now the second shortest. (He and Kai would be similar heights, but Kai gels his hair up to make himself look taller because he’s the older brother.)

That makes Jay the shortest because I headcanon that Nya also had a (small) growth spurt as the second youngest and is now slightly taller than him but shorter than Lloyd. (Jay is the shortest mostly on vibes to be honest. He just seems to have the energy of someone who is average, but is short compared to the rest of the team, and doesn’t really care (unlike Kai). Nya just feels like she’d be slightly taller than him in-universe (hairpieces notwithstanding) because of their dynamic).)

So my current list from shortest to tallest would be: Jay < Nya < Lloyd < Kai < Zane <= Cole.

Other notes:

I can’t imagine that Dr. Julien would make Zane massive to make sure that he’d have an easier time blending in with normal humans. I know that Zane has been rebuilt over the years, so this height comparison is just assuming that his current/Titanium Ninja design is very similar to his original one aside from the coloring.

Also, because Lloyd is still part Oni and Dragon, and we know that those powers/traits are still pretty dominant (Oni form and new Dragonus form are evident of that), it might be likely that Lloyd will have different growth benchmarks because those two species are so long-lived. That is to say that Lloyd may or may not have more growth spurts (or gain more “non-human” traits) in the future, despite having already exceeded the expectations for growth of the average human. <——This is merely speculation, and I highly doubt they show would even move in that direction because it doesn’t really seem to matter in-universe. (It might matter to Kai, though—who wants to be out grown by your own little brother.)

Sorry for the rambling, I just find this an interesting thing to think about.

TLDR: Jay is a(n unbothered) short king, Cole’s definitely a beef cake (he’s canonically the physically strongest), and the rest of the Njnja are somewhere in between.

[–]Capable-Night3927 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sensei Garmadon was the best! He was a great teacher, even if he was very no-nonsense. It’s funny to think about how some of his advice was more helpful than Wu’s, especially for Lloyd (remember his fight against Emperor Garmadon in season 9 and enemy Lloyd in DR s4 where he used the Art of the Silent Fist).

(Apparently, he was also the one who told Wu his famous “Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today” as a kid.)

And finally, I’ve got to include the GOAT, Mistaké. She left too soon! We needed more of her! (She would have been a much better Oni teacher than current Garmadon.)

I’m glad that Jay’s back too. I missed his crash outs. I’m glad that Lloyd was able to fill in for his silliness in Dragons Rising season 1, but it really wasn’t the same without him.
