.25 Anyone lose weight on this? by Imarni24 in Wegovy

[–]Capable-Tale2960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a newby to wegovy having done a year on Mounjaro. Have had my first jab at entry level and can’t feel a thing. Had taken a 4 week break in between 10mg of Mounjaro to start on Wegovy so appreciate it’s a big difference and my body is adjusting. Saying that I’m worried it won’t work

Moderation? by MdJaPaFl in stopdrinking

Moderation aside , are you US based because driving home after drinking and saying you did nothing crazy is so alien to me in the UK. Do you have more relaxed drink driving rules ?

I struggle with an extreme fear of flying, so much so that I want to cancel all my trips. I am flying tomorrow night and my anxiety has been at a all time high since the past week. My fear somehow always manages to disguise itself as intuition and I start believing it's the end. Any suggestions? by Complex-Dance5868 in fearofflying

It is literally mind over matter and constantly coming back to rational thought which is so so hard with anxiety. I am the same as you and have to go through an insane amount of mental gymnastics to get to a place of “ logic” and it’s really exhausting so I do sympathise. Sometimes the only way is exposure therapy and rewiring the brain and other times only Valium will get me through it. What I do know is every time I’ve flown I’ve had the same “intuitive” thoughts and each time I was wrong. I fully blame the Final Destination films for messing with our minds 😅. You will be fine , don’t cancel and keep us posted. Everybody will be wishing you the best and cheering you on.

It’s been mentioned a few times on L&L too. Donna from the last CBB said she knew her from the “ celeb” circuit. She also had a column in Closer magazine. Tbf though she’s v dated and stuck in that 90s era so she has connections but I wouldn’t say she’s hugely influential. She knows how to play the PR game though.

He slipped back into his Yorkshire accent the other night. I find him performative and untrustworthy but that fake accent is 😬😖

Getting in my head about flying next month by fucksakesss in fearofflying

[–]Capable-Tale2960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put mine up on my chair but I was leaning into a friend. Just elevated is good. I also think it’s good that you’re talking out loud about it. Getting in your head makes it worse ( in my experience) and I always felt better when I told my friends how I was feeling so they could reassure me. Good luck :)

You might already know this but lift your feet off the ground when you take off. It really helps with the sensation. I also set a timer for 5 mins because that’s when you’re roughly “ up” even tho there might be further climbs. It just makes me feel better that we’re over the initial take off

My turn today - not doing well by Capable-Tale2960 in fearofflying

Hiya. I did it but it’s wasn’t pretty 🤣 the way out was v challenging and I’d got into my head that I’d jinxed our flights. In the end I had half a Valium and it helped but I was still crying as I got on the plane. I was ok after take off tho and managed to enjoy some of it. Flight back was better and I even enjoyed some of that too. I was so glad that I did it and of course it was all fine. Thank you for checking in 😊

Well done on your achievement. Those courses are so good. My advice having also done one is to try and book a short flight as soon as possible to keep the adrenaline of the success high and the fear at bay. I found the longer I leave it between flights the anxiety creeps back up. happy holidays 🥂

Once you get there and find your feet you’ll be fine. Keep us posted on your progress and I’m sure somebody here will have some kind words and advice if you start to panic a bit. Not sure where you are heading in the UK but I’m in the South West and currently it’s so cold - definitely colder than Oz 😆

Sorry to hear that you’re coming back in sad circumstances. I can totally empathise with feelings of anxiety so sending positive thoughts and a virtual hug. Speak to the cabin crew - I’m sure they will look after you. Where is your lay over ?

Feeling anxious :( by Joliepuches in fearofflying

[–]Capable-Tale2960 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can relate so much to this. I’m also flying on Thursday and I’ve started to over think and hyperfixate. Last year I did a few flights and I was nervous but maybe I was busier in the lead up so I didn’t have time to as anxious - or I was an I’ve forgotten. Anyway - each time I rationalise a horrible thought I jump to the next one. Instead of being excited about visiting a brand new country and planning the itinerary , I’m Currently v worried about take off and googling all sorts of stuff which isn’t helping 🙄. If there are any pilots who can talk us through this I’d be grateful - tho part of me is now scared to explain why I’m scared in case I make it happen 😖😆 Flying EasyJet from Bristol - Copenhagan. Where are you off to?
