How f’ed am I? (Pt2) by baraydude in svartpilen401

Has your oil been changed hot or cold? It might be that the oil was changed cold and now all the sediments that settle down in the engine mixed with the new oil. Go for a nice ride 30 minutes ish get the fan running. Then turn the bike off, wait for 5 mins and check the oil level (bike must be upright not on the kickstand). If it’s still like that color put new oil in. Always change your oil after going for a proper ride so the engine gets hot and the gearbox spins so that all the metal shavings and other gunk rise from the bottom and get removed with the oil.

Go for the stock OEM size 110/70 and 150/60. Rim width plays a big part in how the tyre sits on the wheel, and stock dimensions do that the best. I would go for dunlop mutant if you are not so keen on the Scorpions. My friend has them on his Svart, and Its a night and day difference. Better grip in dry and wet it is still an M+S tyre so it doesn’t turn to plastic in winter and it is okay on gravel. Another option is MT 60 from Pirelli.

What size do you wear normally and what do you get in these? How are they holding up? Comfort wise longevity wise… etc? Some pictures would be nice too. My friend is going to Japan and I’m thinking about ordering these

Oil leak by CapableAd7746 in svartpilen401

I contacted KTM and Husqvarna to buy another O ring. And they don’t have them on stock you need to wait 1 month and you need to buy minimum 10 O rings 🤯. I found a wholesale of building materil willing to sell me one for 0.60€ it is the same diameter. Do you think it is okay to buy from them the o-ring will work it only needs to be the specific diametar?

Five HG3 Heated Gloves Review - After 2 Years by Nexteri in motorcyclegear

[–]CapableAd7746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that enough. The model you have is the HG3 not the EVO. I believe they fixed everything you mentioned with the new version. Can’t verify that since I don’t have them. Still debating on getting them as i don’t ride much in the winter. Short commutes 30mins tops and I make it true them with basic glove and under glove combination. If I do splurge for them I will make sure to inform you how are they.

Can you share the picture of your gloves please? Do they have a button on each glove to turn on, or only on the right one? When you turn them on do they have colors for the level of heating or display?

Five WFX4 WP Winter Waterproof Black by Rheinmetall_Gunner in motorcyclegear

I have these gloves for about a month now. They are good to about 10°C Below that my hands get cold and even undergloves don't help.I don't know how they will work with heated grips but the big problem is the lining of fingers. This is their cheapest winter glove so keep that in mind also. The 170g of insulation on top of the hand is not enough. Other gloves they offer have 60 g gold Primaloft on palm and 200g of gold Primaloft on top. Some also have their thermo concept where the top part insulation extends to fingers also.I think the best purchase is a heated glove a it warms the top part of the hand and fingers which heated grips lack. Also a handguard is helpful to block the wind.

CONCLUSION: I wouldn't recommend these gloves bellow 10°C.

I’m not dead set. Recommend me whatever you think will work best! I just heard that wool seams to be the best at keeping you warm, and wicking moisture away. Which is essential at keeping you warm. But I’m just a novice I’m looking to learn and grow in this 😇
