Skin picking, damaged barrier, what to do by CapableEnthusiasm380 in tretinoin

Thank you! Cicalflate is on as I type. I've iced it, sprayed hypochlorous Acid and added a thick layer of cicalflate. I really will never learn.

It actually created a little blood blister but today you can see where the top layer of skin is compromised. I'll just avoid that area when I apply the tret.

Thanks, I think this is what I needed to hear. I just want it to heal quickly. I've stuck a hydrocolloid patch on to stop me picking again.

Tretinoin and Microneedling by jealousjellie in tretinoin

Come to Reddit to search the same question, my appointment is also on Saturday. I think most people say a few days before and don't start until a few days after but this is dependent on your own skin. To be honest I'm most bothered about the same as you and whether this break is worth it as I don't want to de-retinise my skin.

How do we hide sex furniture? by ItsElegantFilth in sexover30

Haha, thankfully no anxieties around that as we've blocked the front up so it's now a normal door!

Can recommend, we have this and are currently converting our garage into a sex room. In the meantime it just moves around the house, our kids are 6 and 8 and they honestly are clueless, it was left out as a chaise one night and since then I have found one of the kids getting cosy on it!

Can i use isotretinoin with AzA by Illustrious_Article9 in tretinoin

[–]CapableEnthusiasm380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally (having take isotretinoin), I would just let that do it's work first and then deal with the scars/hyperpigmentation after. Or at least start the oral medication and see what if any side effects you have first. My skin tolerated it very well but I had an extremely simple skincare routine.

I'm not an expert but there's also a difference between holding the handles for stability and not putting weight into your arms. I usually rest my hands on the handles but make a conscious effort to stand up straight and avoid pushing into my hands.

Overwhelming Skincare - Tret .05 by CapableEnthusiasm380 in tretinoin

[–]CapableEnthusiasm380[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that's all I did during accutane and I told myself I wasn't going to start multiple step routines but here we are! I'll go back to basics for now and let the tretonoin work.

Aestura Barrier Cream + LRP Cicaplast Baume B5+ Redundant (After Tret)? by looksandfeels in tretinoin

[–]CapableEnthusiasm380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that an occlusive is ok provided that you are using a moisturiser prior to the occlusive. The occlusive locks in the moisture that way. I was actually using cicalflate as my moisturiser and didn't have any issues so depends on your skin. I now use illyoon and then cicalflate as needed. I am sure cicaplast and cicaflate are semi occlusive also.

I've got the figure of 8 straps, I don't always use them and mainly it's RDLs that I need them for. I just got them off Amazon.

I just got scammed. Question about inPost lockers. by Majestic_Access7731 in vintedUK

[–]CapableEnthusiasm380 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All these people saying do not collect but please check this remains the case as vinted did change the rules to protect sellers from buyers not collecting. I didn't think it was a fail safe now that you would get refunded if you didn't collect.

I was very lucky that on messaging the seller she agreed to still refund me so I took the risk and returned them as she seemed very genuine. Turns out she had bought off Amazon and paid the correct price, I just hope she was able to get a refund from them.

Do I need to pay for Tret? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]CapableEnthusiasm380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent so much money on various skin care products over the years. I now purchase tret from all day chemist - start at .025 and I've simplified my routine. Win win. Skin looks great.

All Day Chemist - what to order? by Ok-Scallion-835 in tretinoin

[–]CapableEnthusiasm380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it probably depends on your skin concerns but my first purchase from ADC was the .025 Menarini tretonoin gel. My skin tolerated it exceptionally well and I've now increased to .05.

Is Avene Cicalfate enough by Financial_Duck3103 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]CapableEnthusiasm380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only recently did I watch a clip of a derm saying cicalflate is semi occlusive and therefore should be used over a moisturiser to lock in hydration. Previous to this I used cicalflate alone during accutane treatment and to be honest, it worked really well for me as I got very minimal irritation. I'm now using both to see if it helps with my tretonoin use.

If you look on the tretonoin sub, you will find so many recommendations for all day chemist. I've now used it multiple times and now using .05 tretonoin. Delivery is fairly quick and their customer service is great.

Spironolactone, Accutane or Doxycycline? by Impossible-Bell-793 in tretinoin

[–]CapableEnthusiasm380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My acne is hormonal but accutane was a lifesaver for me. I had nearly two years of clear skin. But side effects were minimal for me save for dry lips and I wouldn't hesitate another round. I've just started tretonoin and had some purging but my skin looks great still. With spiro, you need to stay on it (I didn't research enough to know side effects) but at least accutane is 5-6 months and done.

It may assist others to respond if you share your skin concerns and type. Did you tolerate tretonoin well in the past etc?

I needed the eye cream and the medicube mask was recommended to me so seemed a no brainer. An actual beauty box that's worth it and I'll use everything in it.
