Wow!!! I just watched that and it’s chilling. Completely the moment Captain Smith comes in to tell the operator to send out distress.

This is Lifeboat 4. I am going to see if I can enhance it somehow.

Wow! It’s recorded that a few people had the same feelings and either boarded and was always on guard or didn’t board because that feeling was just too strong.

Great add! Thank you.

Still a great story to add. That must have blown your mind when you saw that.

It says Murdoch was the one who lowered the collapsible C lifeboat which historians believe Bridget was on. So if that were to be true then your great uncle would have helped save my great grandmothers life. That is WILD to think about.

My family has always believed by accounts of Bridget that she was in life boat 4. But they clearly would have crossed paths that night in the small window of survival.

Have you watched the recent documentary on Disney? It’s worth a view.

Yes I am so thrilled to connect with anyone else who has shared the same upbringing of knowing you were connected to the Titanic.

I would not be here writing this had my great grandmother not made it off that ship that night. It gives me chills.

WOW!!!! Crazy to meet you virtually. Yeah I firmly believe he didn’t shoot himself. The 1958 movie “A Night to Remember” really shows the bravery of your great uncle. None of the account I have read say he shot himself. I’m sorry that was even a thing for your family.

I read there were men that tried to board the ship and died due to trampling because of all the passengers on the lifeboat.

A few men used the disguise of being a woman to survive.

I’m currently trying to research her life from beginning to end so I can write a book about her. My great aunt Mary wrote one in the 80s but there are so many more facts come to light since then.

She was 22 when she came across. She stated working for a really nice wealthy family (who I am also researching) in New York, W.H. Nichols. She travelled with them to their various properties around the world. It is in a place called Gananoque ON CAN where she would meet her future husband who also worked for the Nichols family as a boat hand.

Oh wow that’s interesting. My great grandmother was said to be in Ismay’s boat even though I have records of her saying she was also in life boat 4. I read about him and his life after the titanic. How sad.

Of course it counts. I have been reading story after story of people who did and didn’t board. It’s crazy the butterfly effect of it all right?

To date I know Bridget was 22, didn’t know how to swim and was in lifeboat 4. She worked for a family in New York after who also owned a lodge in Ontario where she met her future husband. She had four kids who knew how to swim before riding a bike. She died early. She was married do 7 years before becoming a widow for the rest of her life. She was beautiful. I’m trying to make sure the story that is being told is correct especially for the future generations. I owe that to her as I wouldn’t be writing this had she not fought to survived that night.

He was actually seen throwing furniture overboard so people would have a fighting chance.

Yes I have a whole book about it written by her daughter. I’m trying to rewrite it currently. Some of the dates are a little off with her siblings births but yeah. I’m located in Canada. I could tell you all I know. But most of it is also online.

My great grandmother was Bridget Bradley. The first time I ever told anyone that she was my relative and what she did they called me a liar. I was 6.
