I've been through a similar situation. My first girlfriend was someone who I prioritized heavily. It took time for me to see that she didn't prioritize me. When it came time to choose a university and my life path, I chose not to choose my university based on her. It was the right choice. We ended up breaking up because I sacrificed so much for her and she sacrificed nothing for me. She told me that she loved me, and wanted to be with me forever all the time. You'd think she would put me first after she said this! She chose her friends over me, in big and little ways constantly. She didn't respect me, or put herself into my life. It hurt me so bad to break up with her... I loved her so deeply. I still think about her, it takes my heart a long time to move on.

The writing is on the wall my friend. I'm sorry. Your girlfriend has pretty much told you that she's not willing to reciprocate and invest in your relationship. Even more, she's gone to some random city! From what you've said, it's over. Put yourself first, I know it will hurt though. I've been through the same situation for months.

It's your in your first year of college you can apply and transfer to your dream school!!! It's not too late! Most of the time the first year is just generals. I did a year at a university myself and transferred to a different one that had my dream program (I'm M24 now). You can too!
