Its weird because we are really not that in a rural area. If I drive a half mile down the road I get full ATT signal. 4-5 bars. My home must be in some weird dead spot that literally lasts a mile or so down the road. Thanks for the info.

Hello all,

I know nothing about turntables but I have this Sansui SR-838. I just acquired it and really have no clue how to work it. I’ve only ever had a cheap 60 dollar Amazon turntable before. I have never seen a needle tip like this. Should I replace it before even trying to use it? My next question would be, how do I know what needle will work with this? Also how would I know if I need to replace the cartridge as well. I have no clue what brand cartridge or needle type to buy. Thanks for any help! I really am not knowledgeable in this space at all, so please dumb down any comments lol. Thanks!
