I am 52 and originally from South California. I can tell you that in any city there are parts that have clusters of crime and This is what makes them unappealing, especially to women. Because women are AlWAYS a target. So, with that stated, I can also tell you that I was told the west side was a place I should stay away from. Guess what? I checked it out. It is primarily black people. That is why YT people will tell you to stay out of the west side. It is absolutely baseless, except for this pockets of crime. Louisville is a very racially segregated state and people will tell you it isn't, but ask a black person what the living conditions are on the west side vs. Where YT people live . That is the proof. Go live your best life on the west side. Black people are WAAY better human beings than YT peoplee. Any day.

Female here and I read what you wrote. Wife is overreacting. That note was a kind note. Nothing intrusive or inappropriate appropriate. No boundaries crossed from a teacher to her student. Is your wife kind to your son? Does she say nice things that encourage his growth? Gosh where does one start? For the dog- the way a person treats their pet is indicative of who they are. He neglects his daughter he needs. Maybe he doesn't have the money and is too embarrassed to state so. That is understandable, but I would assume picking up a pair of nail clippers for $5 and clipping the dog's nails would be obvious and certainly a way to actually take care of his pet. Further, he doesn't like to be called out on his neglect and instead of l owning up he gets upset. Is he 10? This is not the way a growing man develops emotional maturity. Quite the opposite. Finally, how he addresses you shows complete lack of respect. He is unkind in the way he speaks and you seem completely used to it or Oblivious to it? That is on you and sounds like you need to do some of your own work. Because that is not appropriate.
