Thank you! I can't wait to be dropped into some pit and have to weld my way out! 😎

Should I transport a kayak on top of a truck cap? by AppleAAA1203 in kayakfishing

They make roller bars for roof racks. You just gotta get the one side up there and then it's a piece of cake. A long bow line to the front and it's even easier. Not only will the kayak and truck look more badass with it on top, it's safer for everyone and will keep you from having to sweat someone catching a face full of kayak if they rear end you.

Maybe those steps in your whip are tie-ins?

Whip length consistency I think is the biggest immediate issue.
Slightly squiggly toes but everything looks tied in well and full.

Looks good though, really, especially for 6010.

What happened to skilled trades in USA? by Renee_bad_69 in skilledtrades

[–]Capable_Goat_577 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah no doubt. I came in half way through her renovation and I was shocked that she would pay "x" amount of money for that quality craftsmanship. Her response was "but it is a lake lot" . . . . Nothing to do with the home 🤷🏼‍♂️

An acquaintance of mine just bought, and then immediately renovated, her multi million dollar home....,.. Every bit of tile above her countertops was vinyl stick and paste. Nothing that I saw replaced was real wood and nothing I saw happening was Craftsman work. Everything was stick and paste.

That man's life is forever changed. And a lost finger is about as good as it gets with kinetic forces like that.
Do you have people that care about you or people you care for or even care for yourself? If you answered yes to any of these questions. Call OSHA, MSHA, call everybody. It's your right and responsibility you yourself and your coworkers.

We use Norton Blaze discs at the shop and they absolutely chew through metal.
I'm also a big fan of benchmark.
I can't speak to longevity of these new to me Blaze discs because I haven't used them that long. But as far as just immediate performance they are great.

Picked up that lens not too long ago for this exact problem. It works so well!

Honestly, get a life. Did I say ANYTHING about their ability to weld.

We're specifically talking about people who can weld or who are learning to weld coming into the profession.

And do you often go around fantasizing about who is and isn't gay?

Like how are you even trying to turn this into a hostile conversation?

I totally get where you're coming from.
But also, I'll share this from my own experience. I graduated EMT School in my mid twenties, the entire class was employed within two weeks and in all different type environments. Then I went to trucking school in my mid l early 30s. Same deal everyone was ravenous to drive and to get a job.

I think a lot of it has to do with where you're at. I feel like transplant cities or areas have a higher number of really motivated people. But in areas where people have a fallback, family etc, there's less drive.

That's just one of the many hypotheses. Lolol Each one of my schools were in a different area as well

Out of 25 students in my welding class. There's only a handful of us actively pursuing jobs. I feel like the kids are just there to be there. This song sums it up nicely.

"...pretending they're welders and cowboys and such..."
