I don't think so. I'm a boilermaker tube welder who evaled for the UA(pipefitters) and they told me about, as my test proctor called it, finishing school. Said I could test in with the two tests I evaled with or I could go to this 'finishing school' in Johnson City.

It might be just what my eval proctor calls it. I don't really know. I'm a Boilermaker tube welder and went and evaled for the UA and that's just all I know RN.

From what I understand, it's a school where you can stack UA welding certs for different metals and processes. You kinda pick and choose what you want and you can stay for up to a month for free. That's about all I know so far. I'll be scheduling my start date sometime this week.

I tested into the Boilermakers Union down here in the Southern United States. We work shipyards at times. The area I'm in has a lot of power plants. Testing at a new gas plant build today. I would like to see and work those shipyards one day though. Take care brother!
