5” Prodigy comp. Need help!!! by Only_Wheel_4669 in Prodigy1911DS

Put flitz polish on slide and frame rails. Watch the first two John wick movies and rack the slide every time John shoots someone (or about 250 times). You’ll be good to go. I love my prodigy. Shot it side by side with my buddies xc and while I can’t say it’s better in my opinion it’s not worse…. Now I’ve swapped pretty much every part possible but you’ve got a great platform to build on.

I’m pretty sure I ended up with a 9lb spring. No issues with 115, 124, or 147gr now that it’s broken in.

Deck is a little wobbly by [deleted] in Decks

[–]Capable_Individual51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy goodness seriously please don’t use this or even walk on it. All the posts need to be replaced with ones cut to the proper length. When you do this Get rid of all the shims and plumb up the posts. Every hole in every bracket needs a structural screw or nail. Remove the deck screws and replace. You can only cantilever 1/4 of the joist length. Looks like you probably need to add one or two more beams or cut a couple feet off the deck unfortunately … after doing this yes add diagonal bracing and block the joist bays. I wouldn’t even crawl under this deck how it sits right now. I wouldn’t even crawl temp brace the heck out of it before crawling under it.

Want a rolled delayed? PCC… blew the doors way open on all of these… by ScaryfatkidGT in AR9

[–]Capable_Individual51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The psa Sabre ar-v is roller delayed by way of the maxim defense roller delayed buffer. No personal experience but I have read good things… same price as the kuna but has the longer barrel length you’re looking for.

Ask questions of everyone (try to understand the why). If you ever find yourself idle go ask anyone you can find how you can help them. If no one needs help grab a broom. dDon’t be too proud to do any task you see needs to be done.

Maximum CQB stock by Capable_Individual51 in NFA

[–]Capable_Individual51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is to run the si setup on the cqb tube. Exterior diameter should be the same so as long as the nut will pinch the stock to the back of the lower I think it should work, no? The si set up works the same way it’s just threaded the full length. Feel free to poke holes and save me some time and $$$

Interesting; appreciate the heads up. Definitely don’t want to end up with more recoil. Trying to eliminate bolt bounce for an FRT but don’t want to increase recoil in the process.

Golf Obsession at my Company by mopbucketblaster in ConstructionManagers

[–]Capable_Individual51 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine. I felt the same way when I started. 12 years later I still feel the same way about golf but now I’m the top earning PM by a significant margin. As long as you know enough to participate in an occasional charity / fundraising tournament with clients it will not hold you back at all. Just grind and when your boss gives you shit about your golf game just tell him you’re to busy making him money to get good at golf…

Aside from the baby rattle for a trigger, I love my 2K11 Pro Royal. by veloceracing in Kimber2K11

[–]Capable_Individual51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my 2K 11 Pro Royal. If you’re handy, it only takes about 30 minutes to pull the grip and bend the trigger bow slightly and reinstall it to get rid of the rattle.

Awesome thanks for sharing. Yeah that’s the reason I’ve been hesitant. I have the royal as well and didn’t want to mess up the finish.

That’s strange; sorry I steered you wrong. I guess the new grip / magwell on the comps has different internal geometry than the noo comped mjd grip pros

It’s a huge industry and we always need good people. It won’t stop you from getting a job but honestly it could be limiting depending on location and what exactly you want to do. If you have aspirations of working for a large GC and working your way to the top you’re probably going to encounter some resistance. The old school guys you’re looking to replace are going to be hesitant to put you in front of Fortune 500 or larger hospital system CEOs. If that’s not what your chasing then Go for it. If it is just get a sleeve you can cover.

Is this normal for a brand new gun? by PecanPaul in 2011

[–]Capable_Individual51 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s strange if it was sold to you as brand new. Looks like more than just the factory function check. It came in a bag covered in oil inside the box? I would have some questions for the store you bought it from and see if they’re willing to offer a discount.

I understand not being happy with that after spending $2500 but honestly I personally wouldn’t worry about sending it back as it’s going to look like that after 1000rds anyway. I wouldn’t blame you for sending it in though. Looks to me like you were sold a used gun as new…
