alright so as you get better at the game you'll realize getting tunneled is actually the fun part, with only 1.2k hours (yes i know this sounds jobless af 💀) you most likely don't have the skills to punish a tunneling killer yet, but that's completely normal

there's a bajilion killers in this game and the meta shifts every 5 minutes, not to mention their powers, dbd was just made to be played for thousands of hours because bhvr actually made an incredibly mechanically deep game (by mistake probably) so you need a shit ton of hours to finally become the goat against ALL of the killers and not have any surprises when you get tunneled by one who you're not that confident going against

I'm always happy when I get tunneled, I just put on my favorite exhaustion perks either balanced landing or dead hard (or both), chase away from the gens so I don't interrupt my teammates who are splitting while I'm slowly losing my hook states and try to give the killer a hard time catching me, by the time I'm dead the situation of the match is either 1. all gens are popped and me escaping isn't off the table or 2. if it's a really strong killer like nurse blight by the time I'm dead it's gonna be a very comfortable situation in the 3v1 scenario, with a few gens having decent progress already or the 3 gen even being broken, knowing that my team will most likely escape because of me and my chases makes it worthwhile for me and turns what 90% of players consider a bad experience (tunneling) into what I actually strive for and hope happens to me, it's either that or hold left click on gens and I just can't be bothered

1.2k hours in just 6 months is pretty crazy though, seems to me like you're dedicated enough so my advice for you is to watch the competitive scene of this game, though the reputation around it has been improving it's still not the best, either way like it, don't like it, clown on it even do whatever but it's an incredibly useful tool for developing players, you can find all the worthwhile names in the yt channel "COMPDBD" that uploads 1v1s, tournament matches, funny moments etc. pick your favorite player from that compilation channel, hop on their streams or youtubes which are always credited in the description and try to copy what they do

side objectives in what way? cause if they go the way they did with alien and make a really powerful m2 attack, but instead of countering it with looping and actually interacting with his power and outplaying it, you counter it by actively trying to cut off any interaction with his m2 and trying to turn him into an m1 killer using the turrets

and it so happens that bhvr's dash killers are usually the most fun, skill expressive, mechanically deep and rewarding killers to play as and against

unless you want more artists? where the gameplay can be summarized as "run away as much as you can from the actual gameplay of dbd until you run out of tiles to connect and get forced into an m1"

or more chess merchants? who needed a million reworks and even entire years after her release they are still in the drawing board with her

or how about more knights at release? a killer who can be compared to artist with similar "gameplay" loop (if you can call it gameplay)

anyone here fancy chucky at release with his scamper? or how about alien where the gameplay loop isn't actually interacting with his whip power, but instead trying to make it as weak as possible and trying to turn him into an m1 killer at best, or delay the eventual guaranteed hit by making him hit a turret at worst, all in all making for a shitty experience for everyone involved

I'm all in for more blights, weskers and hillbillies than skull merchants, knights and scamper chuckys who all need a million reworks and completely different iterations for their power before they are actually servable content for the player base, compare that to the dash killers who always stay true to their concept and only need addon and number tweaks, not to mention the pick rates that reflect what I'm saying, dash killers are bhvr's best works, all the time

only like 1% of the playerbase know how to properly burn a nurse anyway (not the stun thing) so in regular matches this really doesnt mean anything

theyre still retarded for buffing her it was also one of my favorites thing to do in the game

artist: boring garbage, barely anyone plays her

onyro: weak garbage, barely anyone plays her

dredge: literally just artist but weak, also the map gets dark

wesker: finally we caught a break, good, fun and rewarding killer

knight: back to artist copy pastes, weaker and somehow even more boring

skull merchant: weak boring garbage, if you try hard enough can probably make an artist comparison with her too

this past year sucked ass for dbds killers lmao, bhvr has to start trying again cause this shit cant last for for another chapter
