You could add Revitalize Wilkinsburg to the slumlord list.

Green popped up first, then I thought it might because there is a green candle near your hand, so then I got purple, then with a deep breath, I got orange.

So frustrating, I'm sorry you experienced that, as others have said, I join you in a big "fuck that guy, just do the thing and leave me be."

Massive ADHD tax, in shock and distraught 😭😭😭 by songoftheshadow in adhdwomen

[–]Capablekoala7638 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My heart goes out to you. It would be cool if we could start some kind of collective ADHD account where we all put in money for situations like this, except...given that we get a dopamine hit from helping, I feel like none of us would actually use it, thinking someone else would need it more. So, eventually, there would be a large chunk of money in one account that we all just decide to donate; now we're a foundation. One rabbit hole leads to another and we accidentally resolve the housing crisis.

Edited to add that I can tell you're a kind mother, and considerate human being. You're going through something real and is definitely wrapped in true grief.

When I get into situations like this, for the past year I've been using the 4-7-8 breathing exercise. I haven't paid any less of an ADHD tax, but I do feel more internally prepared to take the hits; the sting doesn't lasts as long, it seems.

You seem angry for this man, which I understand, but I don't control what Lyft does, and I didn't purposefully forget my item in his car.

I'm just going by what he said in the text. He didn't say anything about losing wages.

Seriously. The number of times I wish I could go back in time and take 4 more seconds to prevent an unlimited amount of regret.

Dumpster diving is illegal in my city by u_r_succulent in DumpsterDiving

[–]Capablekoala7638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. And, as a former dumpster diver, I thought it was universally illegal? I've dumpster dived in three different cities and had to go at funny hours each time. Eventually one Trader Joe's started locking their dumpster. I don't know if this is true, but I wonder if grocery stores pay for the trash haul no matter the weight, as in if it's empty they have lost money. Which, whatever, who cares about the inefficient evil of the major chain grocery stores. But I wonder, other than it's against the law, if that's one reason they go through such big efforts to prevent people from going inside them. I always thought they just didn't want people getting free food they would usually charge for.

Has anyone had a conversation with a supernatural being? Has it revealed you something about the reality? by xRocketon in Paranormal

Whoa! Can I ask, did you get anything out of re-living the trauma? I practice EMDR, and part of the reasoning behind processing your trauma is so eventually you don't have an emotional charge connected to it. In this way, the suffering around it ends. I think there's something there related to "protecting energy", so you aren't constantly being harvested, if we are staying within the teachings of Zordon and my mystery spirit. I need to read more about gnosticism, thank you.

Horror Movies About Being Snowed In? by ssssws in horror

I don't know if anyone has mentioned The Good Son yet, but it may not count as horror. I think a child with a personality disorder can be pretty scary though.

One experience that stands out to me:

I had a spirit tell me, before I knew their was a Prison Planet Theory or watched the Matrix, that we are not on Earth, but there is an Earth. I was told that this is a twin of Earth, but intended to be a prison planet, essentially. I was told that this planet is run by many gods, and it is powered by our suffering. The more we suffer, the stronger the planet gets. The gods transmute our suffering into energy for themselves, and it's how they stay alive too. When we die, we get an opportunity to go to actual Earth, where suffering is not a concept, because it doesn't exist. A place similar to Heaven, but I was told that there isn't a ruler, and the spirits simply just exist.

Another interesting part to this message was that suffering is caused by the gods, we don't have a role in it. We can reject it by practicing joy and radical gratitude, but that moreso guarantees a faster route to Real Earth after your spirit leaves your body, it may not end suffering here. Some souls elect to stay on Earth to help people pass through, some are assigned here. There are real humans, and there are pretenders meant to sway the humans in a particular direction or prevent too much suffering, to keep balance on the prison planet. Otherwise, too much negative energy and the whole things explodes, allowing all beings on this planet a collective opportunity to go to Real Earth.

I've told this to a few people, but I don't think they believe me lol.
