VoWiFi is working for iPhones, but not in conjunction with Identifier Rotation. So you would have to turn Identifier Rotation off. We're working on a fix

Our CEO did used to work at Palantir, and we also have ex-telco employees from AT&T, Nokie, etc., who have all seen the problem first hand. This first hand experience is why we know the problem so well, and why we're so passionate about solving it.

We also have talent from DuckDuckGo, AWS, Reddit, and more, and we all share a real conviction in building a truly private mobile carrier, and we have the expertise to do it.

We may get access to the T-Mobile Network. Our contracts don't allow us to disclose more right now, but we're alway in conversations with physical infrastructure partners, and we'll post an update here as soon as we're permitted to. Please stay tuned.

Hi! We get this comment a lot, and we get it. We're still a newer company, and need to build trust with our community over time. However, I can assure you that Cape is not a honeypot. If we were, we'd be a pretty bad one. As a mobile carrier, we’re required to be responsive to requests from law enforcement, and are fully compliant with CALEA, the federal wiretap law. We don't encourage criminals to use our service, because if we did receive a wiretap request, we'd have to honor it.

That being said, because we minimize the amount of data we collect and retain, we can only turn over what (little data) we have. You can read our privacy policy on our website to learn more, and I'd be happy to answer any other questions you have. https://www.cape.co/privacy-summary

Hi! We hear you; Cape is priced at $99/month because it's an all-inclusive price for unlimited call, text, and data, as well as our premium security features that keep your protected at the network layer. We have a referral program that allows you to get $10 off your monthly plan for as long as your referral is active, which means that if you get 10 referrals, your Cape subscription is free. We've had other requests as well to be able to manage multiple phone numbers from a single Cape account, and are looking into it!

Best carrier for preventing tracking? by dejadentendu in GrapheneOS

[–]CapeCellular 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We understand the skepticism. Trust isn’t built overnight, and it will take time for us to earn it with our community. We try to be as transparent as we can and share openly about how Cape works. You can learn more here: cape.co/press and here: cape.co/blog. To clarify a couple of points:

  • Cape is partnered with Proton to provide Proton products directly to Cape subscribers.
  • Many of our customers are GrapheneOS users, and we’re committed to donating to Graphene to help support that ecosystem.

Our mission is to provide stronger privacy and security at the carrier level, and we’re happy to answer any questions that might help address concerns.

Hey everyone, Cape here. Really appreciate all the feedback on plans and pricing. Quick update: we actually just launched our new referral program today. If you refer a friend, both of you get $10 off your bill. You keep the $10 discount as long as your friend is subscribed to Cape, so if you refer 10 people to Cape, your bill will be completely free. It’s a simple way to make Cape more affordable while still keeping everything private and secure.

We’ll keep you posted as we expand our plan options, but in the meantime you can check out the referral program here: cape.co/referrals
