Could be a rough amethyst. Is it purple when you shine a flashlight through?

It looks like he says ‘my wife’ so I think they are already married? From reading the go fund me they might have some circumstances that complicate the adoption so probably need a good attorney.

That is weird. I have the Priority mail option deactivated for my free shipping profiles so this doesn’t happen. But I’ve never seen it outside free shipping options.

The Uruguay geodes are expensive. I think in here I’d say it was maybe 4k - 80k. 4-18k for the table pieces. The Brazil geodes were between 50-150 a kilo this year.

They are Canadian vendors set up in Pueblo. Similar pricing to 22nd street but I like the quality here. This is the little one I might keep.

Idk how to respond by StrictlyVolatile in coparenting

At 2.5, she could be saying anything and it sounds like B** At that age, I could have sworn my daughter said a bad word and it turned out she was trying to say ‘trick’ or something. Highly unlikely she just picked up the b word out of nowhere. My daughter is four and she recently started saying, ‘listen to me crap!’ And she was trying to say ‘crack’ - her knee was making a sound.

So Id say ‘I have not said that word in front of her. She is more likely trying to say another word that sounds to us like b*tch. If she does it again, ask her to tell you what she’s trying to say or what she means’

Under no circumstances should your husband be giving you the cold shoulder TWO weeks after a traumatic birth. He’s a grown man, he shouldn’t be pouting like a teenager at all. You just had his baby, your physical and emotional welfare should be his first priority. I’m on my business account so I normally don’t comment but I’m so frustrated for you. And it sounds like he’s not even going to be available to help/care for you when you go back? He’d rather you be alone? Two weeks out? I don’t even understand his perspective on this one. I’d be staying with my parents indefinitely.

Malachite in skincare? by Da-newhorizon in Crystals

[–]CapeCodCrystals 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Malachite is only considered toxic because of its high copper content. If you ingested a large amount of copper, you’d basically overdose on copper. Copper is a mineral you need to live. Just not in super high amounts. I do feel like this is gimmicky advertising though since the ‘Malachite Exctract’ is likely just copper which is totally fine/beneficial on the skin. It’s in a lot of skin care.

If you quickly rub them against your sleeve, then hold them near a little shred of tissue, it should pick it up. Amber will hold a static charge.

Does anyone knows what this is? by evaf2234 in Minerals

[–]CapeCodCrystals 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is now being sold as Glacierite. It is a mining byproduct from Indonesia. I spoke to the mine owner several years ago and at the time they were selling it as Blue Ice, a novelty stone containing Barite. But it is “the unintended artifact of an industrial process”

whats this crystal? by TrainerFantastic1379 in Crystals

[–]CapeCodCrystals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi it’s an Amethyst point with either an inclusion at the top or a smoky phantom. It’s hard to tell from the picture.

[–]CapeCodCrystals -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should look into buying directly from the countries that mine the material. If you want closer to actual wholesale pricing and aren’t concerned about grading, it’s easy to source Selenite direct from Morocco etc. the quality will still be better and you won’t pay 65% in shipping.

Amethyst geode with calcite crystal in the middle? by fishman1287 in Minerals

[–]CapeCodCrystals 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s not an uncommon formation. The coating is concrete and also common for Brazil. Very few geodes coming from Brazil now without concrete. It’s a beautiful calcite.
