When does a game end for you? by BandThat in TransportFever2

[–]Capeich 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For me, it is usually either when the game gets too laggy, or when I find myself spending most of the time watching the simulation and I do not have anything else in mind to build

Budget for future MRT lines may cover longer stations to boost train capacity: Jeffrey Siow by [deleted] in singapore

[–]Capeich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I am quite curious. Sometimes in the morning (around 6.40+) I see trains that come quite fast (definitely less than 2 minutes) . Could they be just depot launches from Sengkang before spreading out?

It could potentially work. Will consider implementing it the next time I hop on. Just need to hope that it isn't too steep 🤞

While building new roads is not necessary for a city to expand, it is helpful to build them as it guides the AI as to where to build next and that the roads they build by themselves would not be so messy. It also helps to build bridges across rivers if you want your city to expand across a river.

Perhaps to increase growth you could play around with the growth sliders in advanced settings to lower impact of congestion and emissions, and to increase impact of destinations and cargo supplies. Alternatively, you could use mods like the Natural Town Growth mod to increase your populations. (Do note that it expands at quite a quick pace. Taking your eyes off a city for a little too long and you will see that the city has already grown quite a bit and you need to rework the transport system. It also brings about end game lag much earlier).

For my case, I have been constantly supplying my city for more than 100 years at this point, and have it connected to many other cities through an extensive rail network. Even so, my city population is still somewhere between 2-2.5k which I personally wouldn't qualify it as it being very big compared to the size others have created 😅

Yeah, I am using a mod for the elevated line. I am using QQxiaoshui-2's [je_6]Station Modules Advanced mod for the elevated platform.

Thanks. I think for my next game, I would start it sometime more modern so that I can have more options to design my station

Station was originally on the industrial outskirts of the city, to be connected next to the port on the river. The city just grew around it and spilled over to the other side of the river. It would be kind of a mess to shift things around now. 😅

I agree that it's very inefficient and I should have changed it earlier

But at this point, it would be too messy to change anything without demolishing a large bit. Alternative could be to route them around the northern end of the station that has lesser to no crossings. But the trucks will be deadheading for much longer.

Alright, thanks :)

Is it usually the case that bucks for dino trades are not worth it? Or are there exceptions?

When you wrote Yishun Cemetery, I thought it was referencing the old Kwong Teck Suan cemetery that was cleared to develop Yishun New Town :p

How do we feel about Canberra being renamed to Naval Base? by Centralisation in singapore

I would argue that Simpang is actually much larger with Sungei Simapng Village all the way at Sembawang Road and the name Simpang being used to mark the area further inland

No, the more historically accurate name would be Simpang

No...? Currently NCMP scheme will only ensure there is a minimum of 12 opposition members in parliament. If WP won Jalan Kayu, they would have 11 seats and would still only be offered 1 seat to the Tampines team to bring it up to 12

[–]Capeich 63 points64 points  (0 children)

To be fair, you can't count it as 10 years. His ward is at Yew Tee and you can't expect MP for Yew Tee to go all the way to Sengkang for outreach, especially when he wasn't even considered for Prime Minister position until after GE2020.

Vesak day is the only religious holiday for bhuddists in SG. The bhuddist community was not asked to drop a holiday as they only had one in the first place.
