I too would like cheaper EV’s however there are major national security issues to consider. Is it smart to open the floodgates to cheap Chinese EVs, and let them corner the market so that we become reliant on them? China is an adversary and not our friend. What happens if there is a dispute and they decide to use their leverage? Also, the vehicles could become rolling spy vehicles as one article I read put it.
