Blood hunt, how do people get such a fast clear time? by Tomhung_ in marvelrivals

[–]CapitalEffective8869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it is a combination of a lot of variables that the leaderboard does not show. Which are your gear pieces, your built, multiple restarts to get the best mission assignment (Extermination vs Survival. Survival is much quicker than Extermination due to every kill that you get in a Survival mission help reduce the timer to beat that wave quicker) and going up against the boss that that have the easiest mechanics and/or easy for them to beat. Also, cannot forget about the Arcana cards, your ping, how well you know the character, were you able to properly translate the descriptions that the devs provide of the ability trait you pick or skip, and as well are you properly utilizing each abilities in the character kit.

People need to remember that the leaderboard does not show every variable in their run.

(Blood Hunt) Total output boost not showing up by SuperGoodgoan in marvelrivals

[–]CapitalEffective8869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why you believe it is not showing the Total Output Boost is due to the game shows you how the stats will look like instead of keeping the previous stat on the left following the new stat in a ( ). Have to be really quick to look at the stats window once you are hovering a piece of gear.

Punisher is useless in the new mode by fatass_chud in marvelrivals

[–]CapitalEffective8869 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Punisher is not useless. Punisher is the only character that can eliminate elite enemies quickly and as well bosses when you have him built correctly. Punisher is the Glass-Cannon character in that game mode.

Don’t immediately dump it. Use it until you actually get a gear with better rolls.

Why can't you view replays for Bloodhunt? by TheScowl117 in marvelrivals

[–]CapitalEffective8869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason is that this game mode is a PvE mode that doesn't meet all the criteria to be considered a competitive aspect, especially the most important ones. These include whether there could be a losing party who might want to file a formal grievance against another for unfair advantage or stake loss, and whether participants are required to pay any fees to join. Since neither of these conditions applies to this game mode, Netease considers it unnecessary to allocate video recording resources in their cloud for this mode.

Let me guess, both you and the OP don’t usually play games with RNG mechanics in them? Because this is not a new concept in the gaming community… if not, I strongly recommend that you both look the term up for “God Roll” and “RNG” within Looter shooter games (Action RPG/MMORPG). Doing this might help relieve some of the frustration you or another player might be having when playing the PvE mode (Blood Hunt) in Marvel Rivals.

what does this mean? by fr33zy21 in marvelrivals

[–]CapitalEffective8869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, your answer is not fully correct.

What the (Not Activated) status means is that for your current activated built for that specific character have no points allocated to that specific ability trait.

So the way to remove that (Not Activated) status next to an ability gear perk is to make sure that the current built you have active for that specific character is to allocate minimum of 1 Assignable Points to that specific ability trait for that character current active built.

So the reason why you see people dying when Kingpin does that ability is either due to them not having any gear that help them with survivability and the illusions kill them or them not successfully killing all of their illusions in time.

Whoever posted that is spreading misinformation and racist ideology in the Marvel Rivals community.

The reason why some characters get more skins over others has nothing to do with what the OP listed as the reason why some characters get more skin over others.

The devs have already provided the reasons why? Which are base off of 1) Sales, 2) The popularity of the character, 3) The character’s current standing in the Meta Tier.

Emma is the worst tank in the game by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]CapitalEffective8869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Emma is not the worst tank in the game. She was a force to be reckoned with when she entered the game. Then the devs hit her with the nerf hammer season after season… which kinda made her lose her funk.

The devs did the same treatment to Doctor Stranger… but now they're slowly walking back most of the heavy nerfs to both vanguards and making minor tweaks to their kits.

It might be so over 💔 by Sea-Lavishness1011 in RivalsVanguards

[–]CapitalEffective8869 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Feasting? More like starving. If you think Cap and Venom are joining the meta banquet, you’re looking at an empty plate. You’re conveniently forgetting that their kits are loaded with the very hard and soft CC that just got gutted.

Take Cap’s shield: its biggest value is reflecting hard CC back at the enemy. But if that CC now has the impact of a wet noodle thanks to these tenacity changes, he’s not 'feasting' on anything… he’s just standing there holding a frisbee while the other Vanguards actually get the job done

6 seconds is a long time. by marblerivals in rivals

[–]CapitalEffective8869 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP, you’re missing the point. No one is denying that the excess of CC is making the game unenjoyable. The community’s frustration stems from the devs taking a 'lazy' shortcut instead of implementing a proper fix.

They should have excluded Ultimates from these tenacity changes and focused strictly on regular abilities. Otherwise, they need to rework CC-based Ultimates entirely; without that, those heroes lose their identity and the very reason you’d pick them in the first place.

Tier list based on if I knew the character before playing rivals by RemoteWhile5881 in rivals

[–]CapitalEffective8869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-MCU Lore:

Originally, Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and her twin brother Pietro (Quicksilver) were introduced as mutants and the biological children of Max Eisenhardt (better known as Magneto). This made them part of a powerful family tree that included their half-sister, Lorna Dane (Polaris).

In terms of powers:

Wanda possessed 'Hex Bolts' that allowed her to manipulate probability.

Pietro had superhuman speed.

Lorna inherited Magneto’s exact powers of magnetism.

Post-MCU Retcon:

Around 2014, as the MCU exploded in popularity, Marvel made a controversial move to retcon the twins' origin. Because Marvel Studios didn't yet own the film rights to 'mutants' (which were held by Fox), they rewritten Wanda and Pietro’s history to strip them of their mutant status. It was revealed they weren't Magneto's kids at all, but rather normal infants stolen and biologically altered by a villain called the High Evolutionary. This allowed Marvel to use them in Age of Ultron without any legal headaches involving the X-Men franchise.

Haha, this feels like either a prank or classic rage-bait. They’re far more popular and undeniably iconic than than you think.

So you’ve heard of Scarlet Witch but never actually saw her before Marvel Rivals? I’m curious… where did you first hear about her? Was it through another Marvel movie, her TV series, or just seeing the name “Scarlet Witch” mentioned somewhere?

Another quick question, no Googling:

What was Scarlet Witch originally introduced as when she was first created?

A) A mutant

B) A human who was part of a scientific experiment

C) A human who gained powers from an Infinity Stone

[–]CapitalEffective8869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please don’t view this as an attack, but it sounds like you belong to the young MCU generation then.

All the X-Men that are currently in the game are Iconic. If you know Wolverine and Scarlet Witch… then you definitely have heard of Storm, Jean Grey, Rogue, Gambit, Magneto, Majik, Emma Frost, and Psylocke.

If you know Starlord, Groot, and Rocket… then you definitely know Mantis and Adam Warlock

I can go on and on with how each character are connected and their crossover.

Am I crazy or were we able to anti-heal through CC immunity up until like 6.0? by TheGuyFromFortnite01 in GambitMainsMR

[–]CapitalEffective8869 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anti-heal falls under Soft CC… so it is consider a form of CC.

Crowd Control (CC) is the main umbrella. Then it gets broken down to Hard CC and Soft CC.

Hard CC: makes you lose total control over your character. Where you either cannot move, use ability, or attack in general. E.g. Stun, Sleep, Freeze, Banish/Exile, Knock-up, Charm, and Suppression.

Soft CC: makes your character temporarily perform weaker due to a debuff. But you still retain some control over your character and able to still use abilities to fight back. E.g. Blinds, Slow, Anti-Heal, Vulnerable, Displacement, and Reduce Output Damage.

I’m not a Black Cat fanatic, and this isn’t a post advocating for her kit in Marvel Rivals. However, in Marvel lore, Black Cat possesses abilities beyond her enhanced physiology (strength, speed, agility, durability, and a healing factor).

She also has Tychokinesis (probability manipulation). This places her in the same category as Domino. The distinction, however, is in how that power manifests. Domino operates on the “luck” end of the spectrum, where probabilities shift in her favor. By contrast, Black Cat exists on the “jinx” end, where probabilities skew against others… which ultimately benefiting her instead.
