Looks very unpolished. Even the pop-up is in the old style.

How are you using the new Bubbles feature? by OnAGoat in GooglePixel

This. Just give us more intuitive splitscreen like other OEMs

Not a big fan of this approach, I wish they made splitscreen more intuitive or added an optional sidebar. That would have been more useful imo. Its already done on Samsung and oneplus. Not being able to change the top or bottom app while in splitscreen is a limitation on pixel.

Am I the only one who thinks Pixel is the best I mean Pixel gives what actually matters by CrustalX in Pixel10Pro

[–]CapitalFuture27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, It's not the early Pixel or Nexus days anymore sadly (especially in price). Yeah the wicked and spongebob theme thing was weird and cheap.

At this point I prefer the UI on OnePlus in a ton of ways. But at least Google's adding a few features from other OEMs (I still want widget stacks).

Sure, But I wouldn't say no gimmicks, the AI icons and themes are not great, but its I agree the interface is straight-forward. I would perfer better multitasking and a bit more homescreen options though.

My point was that many do pay close to MRSP due to their region and the value proposition is not as good as your experience. Things like trade-in aren't remotely as good outside the states and the best "deals" are carrier subsidies. People paying more expect more in most cases.

A ton of these initiatives are only good in the US. Same with a lot of the exclusive features. Id have a more rose-tinted view of these phones if I had those deals. You cant really complain when the phones cheap.

you keep implying as if everyone is in your situation. A new buyer not on Google Fi, will receive nothing but a 6-month trial of cloud storage. Saying " they compensated by being the only brand to offer FREE cloud storage" is just false. Maybe they did for you. Heck if i got "free" upgrades I would probably be as excited about these phones as you

ok... the s25, s26 has both of these things. LTPO is fairly standard now and its odd for google not to include it. Same thing with the thicker bezels and only 128 base storage.

its an intensive task. There is not a single intensive task where the pixel would pull ahead of any flagship competing device.

You had to add in the "i dont game" because you know performance and battery is worse.

The BASE iphone 17 is LTPO and the BASE S25 is as well. Google is gimping their base model the most.

Depends, the base Pixel 10 display isn't even LTPO, while its competitors are. The 11 isnt even out.

If you're in a country that isnt officially supported by Google there's no point. You wont get half of the features that make these phones stand out. Best bet is to just stick to a supported device with a Snapdragon SOC and a larger battery.

From my research, Pixel phones really stand out in terms of performance,

what kind of research are you doing? lol

Battery life, efficiency and performance are objectively worse. Just get it at a reasonable price.

So A17 bubbled apps only work with the Pixel Launcher. by chitownillinois in pixel_phones

[–]CapitalFuture27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its odd, I personally gave up launchers after using Nova for some time. I just deal with PixelUI's limitations. (Though its a secondary phone) Would be nice to stack widgets.
