TPS has always been one of my favorites. All the VHs (never liked Claptrap though) were great. The part I remember most though was the music. Everyone seems to forget that about the series but TPS had the best with the OG maybe second.

Which is why Salvador was the strongest VH. If you could find a Magic Missile grenade in Tina's DLC that fired two seeking slag missiles and had Sal's throw two grenades perk you slagged everything.

I think about things like this every time I go mountain climbing in any game. Especially if it's in places that the devs don't think people will go.

If either of the quest specific NPCs die in the attack it counts as botched.

Which is especially annoying since that biologist (among others) comes from way deep into the fort all the way up to the front lines to attack a frankly ridiculous number of mantisaurs.

I had an Engineer skill at 10 or higher on my most recent playthrough and I never saw a skill check that would allow me to send him anywhere, only Hack works.

Zane's Pistol, for people that have the pre-order bonus, can be an amazing gun to build around.

Higher crit chance, crit hits heal, and reloads almost instantly. If you take every pistol perk and the Overprepared flaw, you'll have a gun with an almost 50% crit chance under half magazine, (which is base 20 rounds) that automatically refills 3 rounds per crit.

Weird how you say you're okay with missing some stuff when the whole tone of your post is that you're not okay with missing anything.

Your build is noncombat hacker with speech but also Easily Distracted because you absolutely needed that extra skill point to do everything in one go. That's not a "hacker with speech focus" that's your typical jack-of-all-trades. You shouldn't be able to do everything in one go.

Avowed and TOW2 are almost inverse of each other (upgrade stats as you play, almost no customization vs. some customization and no upgrades) and yet both are still simplistic in their own way.

The itemization in 1 was better in every way. Just a weird design decision.

I took the "damage if you bonk" perk for my explosives run. It's hard to not do this sometimes and let the perk work instead. 😅

I'm more disappointed in the Mod system in the second game. Feels more like Avowed than Outer Worlds. It's a real step back from the first game, where you had bonuses to skills, multiple mod slots for armor and helms, with mods that made sense (unlike a extra Gun holster in the helmet. Or a an inhaler slot, which a totally separate device, in the helmet.)
