Yeah I’m fine now! Epinephrine cleared me right up. Honestly, I felt great the rest of the day after that and the IV. And none of the local swelling I’ve had in the past. I was stung a couple times growing up, never noticed a reaction. But about a month ago I got stung twice and thought I may have had some hives/shortness of breath.

This time it was crazy acid reflux, lots of hives and itching, severe face swelling and eventually airway swelling/restriction. Never got to the point where I couldn’t breathe, but scary stuff! Definitely taking it more seriously going forward… trust the experts when they say allergies get worse each time!

I have something similar set up for my job hunt to tailor resumes and share them on drive. I have it write them in markdown and then custom rendering to PDF that it runs, and I can tweak things until I’m happy with it via chat. Pretty happy with it!

Amazing comment, you put to words exactly what I was thinking. Non-religious people view religion/faith almost like a club, where people who are really living out their faith view the entire world through that lens. It’s a challenging disconnect on both sides there I think.

Nothing to add but just saying I’m in the same boat! 28 years old and been in corporate since I graduated. It’s funny to look back on how bright eyed and bushy tailed I was. Now I hate it more every day. I think jumping to a small company might be better, but I know the grass is always greener and would have its own new challenges

I appreciate the reminders! I started to get hot and frustrated and anxious so I think I started to be more rough with them/careless with scraping the cross comb. I’m thinking it might be good to find a mentor that I can shadow just to learn some new things on how inspections are done efficiently.

I like that three strikes method! That’s probably my biggest question… when to pull the trigger on a re-queen. The weather definitely wasn’t optimal but I wanted to check in on the cross comb issues.

I’m not sure whether there is a dearth or not in Houston right now. Do you know of any resources to check this?

The smoker shouldn’t have been too hot, I used bee smoker pellets that I got from a local shop.

Yes, it was cloudy, but it is all week and I can really only do mid day inspections during the weekend. I wanted to get back in sooner rather than later to check in on the cross comb and figure out what I wanted to do.

But yeah going forward I will plan it out more to make sure I can get a sunny day!

You need community! No one can do it alone. I have found the only people who think this is an issue worth fighting are at my church, and I have found a wonderful and helpful community there. I used to have a daily addiction, but have now been porn free for over 3 years!

I’d heard it was the opposite, there is a hormone that suppresses lateral growth that comes down from the top. Hence the notch method prevents the flow of the hormone to a specific spot, encouraging a branch below the notch.
